QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 01:24 AM) Anyone else watch the first six minutes of the new Batman movie? Really great stuff. It reminded me of Heat. Where is it available?

QUOTE (lukeman89 @ Jul 3, 2008 -> 10:08 AM) i don't find it irritating at all. every game is important and he knows that. you know hes giving you 100% every time he goes out and he takes nothing for granted. do you people understand what "fired up" means? K-Rod is seriously something special because he takes EVERY game as serious as game 7 of the world series, and he gets the job done more consistently and frequently than any other closer in baseball. IIRC, Dotel was yellin and screamin last night after he struck out shoppach. I'd rather have him acting like that then acting like he did against the cubs. wouldn't you? Guys like Rivera, Hoffman, etc. don't act like a bunch of spazzes every time they get a K or a save. Does that mean they don't care as much as K-Rod?

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 04:46 PM) It looks like the end of the world is coming out here in Hoffman Estates. Where in Hoffman are you at fathom? I'm in Schaumburg technically but surrounded by Hoffman.

QUOTE (JFields27 @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 03:34 PM) yeah when i saw the Hossa signing I actually did not feel upset. I am more then happy/fine with the deal. Its not like it changes anything about the Red Wings, makes them better sure, but they also just were the best team in the NHL. It was going to be a big task to take down that team this season. The Division is really starting to show some separations, CBJ i think falls down trading 3 Centers in two days, STL really hasnt changed besides probably draftees coming in like Oshie and Nashville has not dont anything. I dont even think I want to go after Hossa next season, but thats not even reason to say right now since many changes will be made by next offseason(Havlet, Lang among others) ----------- Orpik resigned with the Pens for 6 years 22.5 which is 3.75 a year. Probably the best contract this offseason based off value/play David Koci signed with the Lightning, which is good for him, He never really had a part on the team nor did i really like him. Also i was thinking pending the hawks get money of course, I would not be surprised if the Hawks bring back Yanic Perrault, anyone else have ideas like that. We have no need for Perrault at all. It would be a waste of money. -

QUOTE (YASNY @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 10:03 AM) Most of the time, when I see what I consider a 'dumb' post, I just scroll on past it. I don't want to take the time to research stats to prove a point, nor get into a pissing match with someone. I figure that sooner or later they will be influenced by the quality posts on the board and come around to my way of thinking. Well that is just a dumb idea

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 27, 2008 -> 02:08 PM) I liked Hulk. Went by super fast. I didn't see the Ang Lee movie, was this kind of a sequel? It was a reboot, not a sequel. Also, yeah it is a prelude to the Avengers film. I believe Marvel has movies introducing characters over the next few summers to build up for the Avengers movie.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 26, 2008 -> 12:56 PM) I really wouldn't mind Bouwmeester. If all it took was Blunden, Barker, and Lang, I'd do it in an instant. I might even take Lang out and put Skille or Hendry in there. It would be tough, mentally, to give up Barker and Skille already, but Bouwmeester, like you guys said, is still quite young and his best is ahead of him. It would take more than that to get Bouwmeester. -

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 26, 2008 -> 12:35 PM) Like they did with Olli, right? If any team has the ammo to get him, the Hawks probably do. Or the farm the received for Luongo.... -

That's a damn shame. The guy was a legend and any time I heard him I would laugh endlessly. I still love the bit about kids these days not having manly names.
