QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 07:08 PM) Farve is the only QB left that could "shoot it out" sort of speak with Brady whereas E. Manning is more of a "manage the game" type. Farve simply doesn't have enough weapons and is carring a young team (Grant could run well though) Either way I just don't see any team's defense matching well with NE's ridiculous offense. Driver, Jennings, Robinson, Jones, Lee, Grant, etc. aren't enough weapons?

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 06:49 PM) Wow -- great job by Fox for catching an absolutely CLASSIC pissed off face on Jerry Jones. Haha, he looked ready to kill someone.

Wow, Romo just got drilled.

Barber stopped by his own lineman haha.

What the hell has Lohse ever done to demand $10M a year?

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jan 12, 2008 -> 08:37 PM) I find myself feeling the same way about the Pats, that I feel about the Red Sox. I want the sky to rain anvils on their obnoxious fans. I'm more tired of seeing shots of Robert Kraft after every god damn play clapping up in his box.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 07:09 PM) Lots of good stuff in this thread. Diet is your first line of defense. Cut out the crap in your diet and work on your portions. Add greens to your dinner, like a salad. This will help your body process the food better as well as help fill you up. Make sure you eat slowly. When you shove the food in quickly, your brain doesnt have enough time to trip the "I am full" switch so you wind up piling on too much food. Cut out pop if you can and add water to it. Try and eliminate candy and sweets as much. Add fruit and vegetables to your diet. Pretty obvious stuff. Taking the time to stretch. It gets the blood pumping a bit, and prepares your body for exercise. Running is the best exercise for weight loss. Any cardio that is high impact, raises your heart rate is good. The best thing is to extend the cardio for longer than 20-25 minutes if possible. This way your body mines the long term reserves of fat instead of burning just the glucose in your body. The best thing is that when you finish, your body is still mining for a period of time afterwards. Stairs at your place, running up and down is a good idea as well. Make sure your neighbors know what you are doing before they think you went mad. You can do crunches until you are blue in the face. The key is different ab exercises and to alternate them. Crunches, bicycles, side crunches, frog flys, etc. A small ball like a bosu ball or a small exercise ball is a key as well. You can then extend your ab excercises into the negative and stretch out as well. You should do a google search on different ab exercises, and then alternate them so you are not working the same muscle group everyday. Pushups and dips. Dips using a chair can help you. Just to add to SSI's last part about pushups and dips. I also enjoy doing different types of pushups. A lot of the time I will elevate my feet by putting them up on the bed with my hands on the floor and do pushups like that. A bit different motion that works pretty well. For an example watch Roy Scheider in Marathon Man.

Steve, i'd appreciate if you could PM me a few product numbers. I'd really like to see more. Also, Jenks, thank you also. I did a little bit of research on 1080p vs 720p myself and have done a small bit of comparison so far. Now I know what else to look for

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 09:44 AM) That should have been the first purchase. These games look previous gen on anything but an HD television! Well I better get to Best Buy or Tigerdirect soon then. Any suggestions Steve? I hear Samsung and Panasonic are good.

QUOTE(TheOcho @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 07:34 PM) It's funny how bad the dialogue is. The redneck comparing events to "hog wrasslin" at the county fair make me want to see him get rocked so bad.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 07:25 PM) I thought Crush knocked that girl out in joust. That was awesome. She had her down on her knees and kept boppin her in the head. Was like some old fashioned MMA ground and pound haha.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll probably be picking up CoD4 and NHL08 pretty soon. I'll probably also rent Assassins Creed. Now all I need is a flatscreen HDTV.

I love Gina Carano. Great fighter and gorgeous to boot.

Ok, so I got a 360 for Christmas. So far I have Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Forza (both came with the system), Mass Effect (love it) and just picked up Halo 3. Any suggestions on what else to pick up? I'll probably be looking for a sports game soon. All suggestions welcome.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 4, 2008 -> 07:34 PM) So my 360 is starting to have disc read errors. What makes it bad is it doesn't happen right away, but during a game. I was in the 4th quarter of an NBA game, and it got the error. I know its not the game either, because it did it with the version I rented, and when I just bought the game( different disc) it did the same thing. Any suggestions? (Not buy a PS3) Call Microsoft or if you have a warranty from a store take it there. I had the extended warranty on my PS2 and when I got the disc read error I took it to Best Buy and they just gave me a brand new one straight out of the box.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 1, 2008 -> 10:19 PM) Konroyd mentioned that he caught the flu late. Yeah, this sucks. We're starting three terrible defenseman (brutal play by MagJo on one of the goals), Khabbi was terrible and to top it all off, ANOTHER player is hurt. Can this team catch a f***ing break with the injuries? This is a freaking joke... That explains it. I know Savvy wouldn't start those two scrubs over Barker unless he was forced to. With all the injuries it makes you wonder how good this team would be if all the IR guys were healthy. -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 1, 2008 -> 10:15 PM) Half of the D doesn't belong in the NHL, and the jury is still out on Buff as a legit D man. Detroit has to be licking its collective chops for Sunday.... Speaking of our D, where the hell is Barker? Is he injured or something? I just noticed he is a scratch for tonight. What's the deal? -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 1, 2008 -> 10:09 PM) You spoke to soon. He gone. This is scary bad. Agreed. Having Zyuzin and JagMo as one of our D pairings isn't helping anything. -

Seriously, can we pull him now? -
QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 1, 2008 -> 01:48 PM) GSP absolutely and thoroughly dominated Matt Hughes. It was textbook. St. Pierre was never in any kind of trouble whatsoever. Matt Serra's in trouble when he comes back from his injury. Agreed. It was just amazing how helpless Hughes looked against GSP. I'm very excited for GSP to get some revenge against Serra. Should be a good fight. I don't think GSP will get caught again by Serra.

Looks like they might want to start leaning on Seabs, Keith and maybe even Barker to log a lot of the D minutes (Not that it is really a change). Seabrook has really been stepping up with his play and I think Barker is going to be a solid D man for this team.
