ouch..essay over xmas break :pukeI had one over thanksgiving break..my topic was how there should be harsher punishments for steroid users. And what do ya know? Giambi admits the day it's due. I just found that a little bit weird.

Wait, someone earlier said the stadium is 1/2 - 3/4 full for most of the games, but you are saying tickets are hard to get. Please clarify.
Just the Sox-Cubs tickets are hard to get. Those sell out fast.

Both Jermaine Dye and Mark Buehrle have personal responsibilities and family commitments that won't allow them to make the trip to Chicago. Frank Thomas, possibly the most well-known player in White Sox history, also will not be in attendance as he continues rehabilitation following October surgery on the fractured navicular in his left ankle.

I still believe Garland will step it up this year. Not as much pressure if he ends up being the 5th starter. I think he'd excel there.

Hmm... this is how I feel on this:
Garland stays. Too much talent to give up just yet...give him another year. And if he still performs the same then they can think about trading him.
Konerko/Garland/Prospects for a old veteran injury prone Randy Johnson? Who might only have a few years left in him..?
That's giving up too much, IMO.

I was stating my dislike that he can be called a rookie, thats all. Since Shingo is up for the award, I guess I do hope he gets it, just to get some props, but I still think its the wronng award.

So, will Jamie be there or not?
He's been on the list since the first day it came out and I'm sure he had his plans to already make it here which would be reason for why he might be here.
But then again, it would be super awkward to have him there. How would they introduce him? "And..here is the former backup catcher that was just designated for assignment..Jamie Burke!"
