  1. It's hard taking on a whole state but we can do it. Let's win!
  2. I believe at this point last season Robin Ventura's team had a better record. But, Ricky's ok
  3. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ May 23, 2017 -> 12:52 AM) How rare is a 60 FV hit tool? Moncada is supposed to be the best talent on the planet that isn't in MLB, and his hit tool grades out 55 FV. A scouting director said Robert is the best player on the planet, and his hit tool grades out 55 FV. Just once I'd like to see a White Sox hitting prospect graded with a 60+ FV hit tool. I am retired
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 23, 2017 -> 04:57 PM) Having this in the midst of a rebuild is important. Teaching kids how to be major leaguers is important and underrated. I agree. In the rebuilding phase a team needs leadership and that good mix of veterans. Go with some of he thinking here and we would always be in last place rebuilding as we trade off anyone that starts looking good on the Sox.
  5. Well Greinke can't pitch two in a row so let's go
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 22, 2017 -> 11:37 PM) Dan Hayes‏Verified account @CSNHayes 1h1 hour ago #WhiteSox for 5/23: Sanchez 4, Cabrera 7, Abreu 3, A. Garcia 9, Frazier 5, L. Garcia 8, Anderson 6, Narvaez 2, Gonzalez 1. No DH. Tyler Saladino still sidelined with back issues. Not bad enough supposedly to go on DL
  7. Nelson Cruz homer. The Seattle faithful think they can mount a rally. The fools!
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 21, 2017 -> 05:29 PM) Went back in time to see the idea that Avi has been hot before. Right now he is hitting .357 with a 1.010 OPS. I actually went back and looked at his splits by month. The guy has had one other month in his career outside of 2017 where he hit over .350. That was in August of 2013 where he hit .354, but he only OPS'd .879. Until 2017 he had zero months over .900 OPS if he played 15 or more games. This is by far his single longest and sustained period of success in his entire career, and it is almost at two months worth now. Avi is 25 years old. He had a ton of pressure put on him as everyone started to compare him to Miggy Cabrera. Youth and a big head have apparently been dealt with and judging by his changed attitude and his physical fitness I am glad that real professional baseball staff make decisions on players like Avi and not folks posting their opinions
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 21, 2017 -> 05:31 AM) All we need to win the division is Chris Sale back, lol. With the Robert signing and this game, it certainly doesn't feel like a 4 and 5-13 stretch. Lots of close losses and late comebacks. Abreu just missed hitting two more homers tonight. The Sox still play with a purpose. We might be surprised at the end of the season and then again maybe not
  10. QUOTE (bmags @ May 21, 2017 -> 05:23 AM) Did hawk just call ken Griffey jr right handed? The Sox broadcast is blacked out in my area since it's considered Mariners territory. So I am missing the ole Hawkeroo and Wimpy. Not liking it
  11. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 21, 2017 -> 05:14 AM) I'm starting to feel sorry for Overton. Sacrificial lamb. Pretty clear the coach was telling him "your it"
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 21, 2017 -> 05:09 AM) Willing to tell my story to anyone and everyone. It's a success story. You are a brave man willing to stand up like that. Proud to know you
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 21, 2017 -> 05:01 AM) Sorry for filling up the thread. Keep it going boys It's all good. Glad the folks in this board can be a sounding board for you
