  1. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 14, 2017 -> 08:35 PM) I haven't watched any of ST but hasn't Gio's fastball been fine up until today? I think he has been pretty fair and today is just one of those days
  2. Watching the game action on CSN. The rookie Giolito is struggling and taken out for Beck already
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 13, 2017 -> 09:55 PM) I think he would have won the job anyway. The team seemed to have soured on Lawrie. I am a Saladino supporter. But, in fairness Lawrie has an injury issue and didn't seem to be responding. I question if he was going to be ready by even the All-Star break, but I loved his hustle out there when healthy
  4. QUOTE (SouthWallace @ Mar 13, 2017 -> 10:30 PM) Fulmer strands the runner at 3rd after a Saladino throwing error. And that error after our Saladino lovefest too
  5. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Mar 12, 2017 -> 10:59 PM) Good grief. Putnam is working his way back from surgery, Burdi is just 21 entering his first full season of pro ball and Danish is still a AAA pitcher. I don't see any reason to panic over the bullpen meltdown. Listen I am in it to win it unless we don't
  6. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 12, 2017 -> 10:52 PM) simikarcto... nice. Did you finger it out
  7. Spring training or not this loss to the Rangers is to similar to those blown games last season. Three separate relief pitchers give up homers and lots of runs
  8. The Yankmees have to give up who and what we want in a trade for Quintana. The article I read indicates they won't so in my humble opinion that means no trade. And I am fine with that.
  9. QUOTE (5+6=Perfection @ Mar 8, 2017 -> 11:09 PM) Avi 3 for 3 with 2 great plays today Hitting everything Good game for Avi, except if you are a hater
  10. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 4, 2017 -> 09:37 PM) Anyone else not able to watch via MLB.tv? I just found the game on Fox West. Saw Jacob May double. Nate Jones had a good 6th inning
  11. I don't see Boston and Chicago hooking up for another trade. Plus the names folks are throwing around for possible returns for Q just aren't that impressive or realistic unless you think Boston is going to gut their entire farm system?
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 3, 2017 -> 09:34 PM) Connor McKnight‏Verified account @C1McKnight 1h1 hour ago Connor McKnight Retweeted Donald Parham Moncada won't be rushed. Hahn said so again this morning. There's video in the article. http://www.wlsam.com/2017/03/03/brett-lawrie-set-to-be-released/ …://http://www.wlsam.com/2017/03/03/bre...-be-released/ …://http://www.wlsam.com/2017/03/03/bre...-be-released/ … I don't think Moncada is ready yet anyway. I was somewhat surprised at the release of Lawrie, but I am guessing it has to do with his injry as much as anything. I kind of liked the guy
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 24, 2017 -> 06:26 PM) Scott MerkinVerified account‏@scottmerkin 3h3 hours ago Carson Fulmer is the White Sox starter for Saturday's Cactus League opener against the Dodgers. Interesting that he is pitching today in relief. Got knocked around a bit
  14. The Sox lost! The season is over. Trade everybody. Fire Ventura. Oh wait a minute that was last year. Go Sox 2017
  15. When it comes to any potential trade of Robertson, Frazier or Quintana the red flags come out when you hear "just take what you can get" or "settle for the best they offer.". We don't have to short change ourselves. Trade partners are dealing because they need to win this season. We don't and so we get what we want or we hold our cards. If we got Severino for Robertson where does that leave our own stud young catcher? Is there really room for two premium catching prospects?
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 21, 2017 -> 01:37 PM) That isn't the kind of mentoring they need. AJ can teach them how to win
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 09:13 PM) I don't understand them conceding by having no catcher and no DH/outfielder of note. If you are going to keep all the veterans they are keeping, might as well try to compete til the all star break. They're too cheap, however. Won't spend any cash at all. Embarrassing IMO. Might as well give AJ a call. He might be willing to mentor the younger generation of catchers. Not sure who is still a good OF fit
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 04:36 AM) Elrockin, how u handling the rebuild? You don't seem like a rebuild kinda guy. You like me want to win all games. Hi Gregg. I guess I am a realist too. The team ownership made a decision and I can't do anything about that except accept. We got some great prospects back and maybe there will be some more. I would like to see some free agent signings to help in the OF and catcher. It will be an interesting season

  20. Hope Tilson makes a quick and full recovery. The kid caught a bad break last year as did a couple other call ups. A recurrence of problems kind of puts a damper on our all-in rebuild for 2017. Here's hoping we don't see something similar with Lawrie
  21. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Feb 19, 2017 -> 07:15 PM) The Q trade will bring back a starting CF. I was waiting for this LOL Please enlighten us all on your information concerning quality CF candidates we may be considering
  22. Heard Scott Snodgrass may be returning on a minors contract
  23. QUOTE (Sleepy Harold @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 07:32 PM) Matt Eddy @MattEddyBA 55s #WhiteSox sign LHP Tyler Matzek to a minors deal. The 2009 first-rounder pitched for #Rockies in 2014-15 but spent 16 as reliever in minors Interesting story you can Google on Tyler. Suffers from severe performance anxiety which derailed a very promising start to his major league career with the Rockies. Condition is similar to Greinkes. Best of luck to Tyler as he confronted this head on
  24. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 02:43 AM) Especially considering Cabrera, Frazier and Lawrie, and perhaps Abreu, should be on the first train out of town. Are you real?
