  1. Might be a target to move to another city like Montreal?
  2. Hoefully Davidsoin can get it figured out. He is leading Charlotte in HR's ad RBI's and of course in K's. Needs to make more contact or be more patient at the plate. I don't know what is the main reason for so many K's. Batting average is low and has been since we got him from AZ. Is his defense better than Gillaspie?
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2015 -> 09:19 PM) Matt Adams ‏@JustDontKnowBro 42m42 minutes ago 2012 through 2015: Jon Lester - 110 ERA+; 3.51 FIP Jose Quintana - 112 ERA+; 3.51 FIP Interesting stats. Can we agree that Jose Q is a hardluck pitcher?
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2015 -> 06:49 PM) If they are better than our players, we do. But, our players are still playing and he ain't
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2015 -> 05:06 PM) I just posted this in the MLB thread. I would not be surprised at all see the Sox take a flyer on him. We don't need other teams castoffs for sure
  6. Off the topic question: how many fans show up in Tampa?
  7. We lost a couple games that is all. We are still in it and this outfit can rebound. Certainly there is disappointment in the performances, but these guys are professionals. Don't panic!
  8. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 06:45 PM) Sox would be over .500 if they still had AJ. I will say AMEN to that
  9. I still want some kind of an explanation from the Sox bullpen coach and pitching coach for our first inning woes. It just seems like our pitchers are not prepared for the start of the game. I am not sold on Mr Shark either as he has been so inconsistent, but I suppose on the other hand so has the team as a whole. Hopefully we continue to see improvement
  10. The experts are as confused abou the Sox performance as we are. You hear the that alot on the TV baseball broadcasts. They all point out that this team has talent and hasn't performed but yet are still hanging close enough the challenge
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 07:06 AM) All I said was he's had some good starts the last two years and he has had some good starts. And I stand by saying he's way better than Noesi and not nearly one of the worst players on this last place team. I have to agree with Gregg here. Noesi hasn't contributed but Danks has IMO
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 05:36 PM) If Sale, Samardzija, and Quintana had two great months of being a top 3, nobody would care that Danks had a handful of bad starts. He's a 5th starter who got hurt after being paid. Nothing he can do about it now. If he gets 32 starts, and the Sox go 16-16 in hist starts, mission accomplished from your 5th starter. You hope that Danks can pitch effectively enough to hold down that 5th spot. He pitched like 13 innings of shut out ball but gave up a lot of hits. That came tumbling down last night in the 5th when he gave up 5 runs. Seems when he gets hit and the other team scores he just can't stop the bleeding. 14 innings over two games and 21 hits allowed. Now Noesi may be a lost cause and I wonder when he gets released?
