  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 22, 2014 -> 03:16 AM) They're not as bad as Harrelson, by a long shot. Hudler was 10X more cocky and annoying when he did the Angels games. He's been humbled quite a bit. Yes, but the Hawk is ours so we put up with it. He loves his guys for sure
  2. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 21, 2014 -> 11:30 PM) I'd do Santos and Deck McGuire for Beckham at this point if Santos wasn't owed $6 million next year. Yikes. Are you someone's agent tor something? ....
  3. I suppose if anyone on thbe tesm could be seen leaving before the end of the month it might be Dunn. But, only if they pick up his salary. There is no need to trade anyone IMO. You hear it on this site al the time that we won't get anything in return anyway. Now I don't undervalue our players, but if you are going to trade to improve for 2015 then you do it (1) when you know our minor league guys can step in and play (and I don't really see that yet) and/or (2) you can get a good return that will help us at the big league level. And I don't mean a couple of minor league guys who might be 3 years away. We are not going to benefit this year by just giving up on one of our players for whatever is offered. Maybe the trades come during the off season? We might even go after some free agents. Who knows?
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 21, 2014 -> 09:22 PM) Great post! Yes by all means bring him back if he gets released. He might be destined to be successful for the White Sox and the Sox only. That there Mr Cooper can fix him! But, in all seriousness once he clear waivers, if that happens, he might still have something to offer and he wasn't bad when with the Sox
  5. Sale goes tonight against KC. Let's celebrate a win
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 20, 2014 -> 08:21 AM) Ask the board veterans ... I used to be one of the kindest posters when I always stood up for Dye, Wise, Pods and of course Jenks etc., when they were under attack. I liked all those guys too. It's nice to score more runs than the other team.
  7. I can't believe our bullpen pitches 4 hitless innings in relief with no walks allowed. GREAT!
  8. Didn't he pitcher a two hit shut out a year or so ago? Seems to me I watched that game. Trouble with DA is that he could be successful for a few games and then it caught up to him and he was giving up homers like crazy
  9. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 16, 2014 -> 08:49 PM) CLAIM ALL THE PITCHERS Apparently they are
  10. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 16, 2014 -> 03:27 PM) I agree, not at all. I'd rather see Semien up for good in Beckham's place. Would like to see them do everything they can to get Sanchez to stick at SS. Be prepared then for several more years of living in the depths of the AL Central
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 14, 2014 -> 09:15 PM) This tells me that the White Sox were at the end of trying with one of their other AAA options, and look, Rodriguez was released. I also can't see Wang being signed to mean anything about future trades involving one of our major league starters. Building up potential internal options is all
  12. QUOTE (Tex @ Jul 15, 2014 -> 04:31 PM) I'm sitting here laughing. How bad does it have to get for this to be funny? My attitude is f*** it how much worse can anyone make it? But, the calls keep coming to sign every player released by another team and how "Coop can fix em." I don't think Cooper has much to do with instructing pitchers in the minor leagues but I think you have to have something to work with if you are going to fix it I copied this from MLB Trade Rumors: •The White Sox have released right-hander Henry Rodriguez, the team announced. Rodriguez just recently signed a minor league deal with the Sox but posted a 21.60 ERA, three strikeouts and a whopping eight walks over 1 2/3 innings with Triple-A Charlotte. That lack of control has been the story of Rodriguez’s career, as the righty has recorded a 6.4 BB/9 over 150 1/3 Major League innings with the Marlins, Cubs, Nationals and A’s over six seasons in the Show, though his high-90′s fastball has helped him record 151 strikeouts. This is the second time Rodriguez has been released this season, as the Marlins already cut ties with him in June.
  13. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 15, 2014 -> 01:27 AM) I'd be all for selling high on him if we could but I agree with some others that there's probably not much of a market for him. There can't be much of a market for a line drive doubles hitter batting over.300
  14. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 14, 2014 -> 09:23 PM) I cannot fathom such utter lack of control. It is hard to understand for sure. Totally lose sight of home plate
