  1. If you go to Wrigley hold your noses but cheer for a Sox win
  2. Hope for better defense then Saturday and some offense. Anything else? oh yeah A WIN!
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ May 3, 2014 -> 07:42 PM) There's a new lefty. Bruce Levine reports. Downs certainly hasn't been real good
  4. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 3, 2014 -> 08:10 PM) Steverson will fix 'em! Seriously though, what's the scoop on this guy (hitting, fielding, arm, power, speed, etc.)? Does he have any potential to be productive or is he just a warm body? He has hit as many as 18 homers at the minor league level. Not much experience I don't believe
  5. I don't see any benefit to trading Ramirez at this point. Those potential SS and 2B candidates in our farm system seem to be at least 2 or 3 years away. We trade our good position players for some else's prospects and ignore ours and in the interim languish in last place or worse. Before we tear our team apart let's give them a chance to show what they can do for more than 30 games
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 3, 2014 -> 04:07 AM) Wow, didn't know Eaton hurt his right hamstring, as it was his left one that hurt a few weeks ago. Carlos Quentin played hard like Eaton and got slammed for it
  7. He ain't gonna last long tonight. The story on Chisox.com was he was planning on pitching deep into the game. What's the matter Danks?
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 2, 2014 -> 12:23 AM) The problem with that is, even if Dunn has a better year than te last couple, he's not getting much money anyway. \I don't think it is out of the realm of possibilities that Dunn is back with the Sox. But, it won't be at $14M a year nor do I see him getting that kind of money anywhere. I can see Viciedo at DH but he can play the OF too. He has a strong arm and if not moved around all the time can learn his position better. He won't be a Torii Hunter though by any means. If he goes to DH in 2015 it means the Sox promote a minor league OF prospect to play RF. Interesting decisions to be made
  9. Rooting for Danksy to show them he is the quality pitcher we know him to be
  10. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ May 1, 2014 -> 09:49 PM) And, if you get CBS Sports Network, the Knights of Charlotte playing the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (Phillies) on May 8 at 6:05 CDT as well. There's a new agreement between CBS and MiLB. http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=2...lb&sid=milb Apologies if this should be on Future Sox side. I will check it out. We have Charter cable and might have this network. We have Root Sports that shows the Mariner's out here so I can see the Sox when they play Seattle. I actually might spend the money and get MLB Extra Innings this season after American Idol and The Voice are done
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 1, 2014 -> 09:37 PM) Gutsy. I like it. I am not afraid to take a stand or lay down whichever the case may be
  12. QUOTE (LDF @ May 1, 2014 -> 09:52 PM) I hope I will not get flamed or anything like that but >>>>> MLBTR Seeking Part-Time Writing Help with the quality of posters here esp those with great command of the king's language will do great. How much does it pay? Words may be cheap but I am not
  13. Dunn could be back or he might not be or he might be traded mid year. I feel very strongly about that
  14. I believe we have to suffer the Cubs announcers on May 6th and 8th on WGN as we talk them on May 7th is being shown on ESPN All games are night games. I can stomach the Cubbies mouthpieces to see the Sox play and beat them
  15. Let's leave Cleveland with a win and rock that Rock N Roll Town
  16. It's on WGN. I will be cheering from my EZ chair
  17. We are in Cleveland to start a three game series. Let's win
  18. Sox in Cleveland for a night game on Saturday and shown on WGN. I am thinking Carroll might be starting. That will be fun to watch. Trouble is the Sox have not won any game I have seen on WGN so far this young season. That needs to change on Saturday
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 1, 2014 -> 12:14 AM) My feeling is that the Sox feel they fixed something in Noesi. Tipping pitches, adjustment in arm angle, standing taller, who knows what, but it seems they were anxious to get ahold of the guy. I also get the feeling they think he can be a starter, which is why they put him there today. I believe they will stretch him out, and he will start in this slot again. I think they may have fixed whatever the issue was. He looked good for three innings. I am not sure at this point in time he should be considered as a starter. If for no other reason then he isn't stretched out for more than 3 innings
  20. I am waiting for more players to be blamed for ths loss and of course Gordon is being dumped on as usual. But, I agree you can't throw a half dozen relief pitchers out there every 4th or 5th game to take the place of starting pitchers. Regardless of injuries something else needs to be done rather than do this again. He looked ok for three innings, which is long relief stuff
