  1. Alright my man Valentin triples. Let's get some more runs!!!!
  2. And I am sure you meant that in the most supportive way? Possibly I am a lucky charm.
  3. I had to leave for about 45 minutes and came back to a 5-0 Sox lead and super pitching by Buerhle. FANTASTIC!
  4. Cancer crap? Do you mean attitude or a disease? Just asking. I agree that someone buildinga fire under him is what's needed. I criticize players as much as anyone I guess (well not everyone) but they are White Sox players and I want to support them all, including DJ.
  5. Hit the nail on the head with that one. Work ethic and DJ has that label for a reason
  6. I think that's key. The guy has to start thinking about baseball and how to play the game and then put in into action. Otherwise he is just a screw up
  7. Buerhle is on his game today. 6 GO's and 4 SO's over 4 innings. He must have the cutter and sinker working.
  8. Konerko flies out for the 2nd time this game. His average keeps going down. He is making contact though and you'd think things might fall in for him soon.
  9. Maybe the Gary Ward influence is slowly getting replaced by Greg Walker... Consistently going up the middle or to right with pitchers like Radke and others like him is key. It seems we have some on the team who forget that and need to be brought back into the fold. Great to see Sandy get a hit and score on a hit. Maybe he can show some of these guys, like DJ, how to do it in the big leagues?
  10. The Twinkies are the most screwed bunch of smirking jackasses I have ever seen We need to play hard and knock the smirk off Jones face.
  11. I think White deserves a reprieve. He has worked to turn his game around and has been producing. Let's hope Koch can too.
  12. Immature? Who said anything about us Sox fans being mature or immature, or for that matter sane? That hits below the belt. However, your right to say that it wasn't all Koch, but in the final box he was the final screw up. He is in a position, and paid good money for it mind you, not to continue to blow games. There are plenty of others though that can be lumped in the same description as a non-producer, Lee for striking out with the bases loaded, Jimenez for not scoring from 2nd, Crede for the error, Marte for not getting the first hitter he faces out. I am sure we can analyze the game deeper and find more. It just boils down to playing unsound baseball and we have done that a lot.
  13. The decision to trade Foulke was not a good one. I thought Foulke had shown in the second half that he was still a quality closer. The trade was criticized by many, who showed all kinds of stats that Foulke ranked higher than Koch in many categories and was a premier reliever. However, what's done is done and hopefully Koch can return to his 100 MPH form. There must be something wrong physically with him, but he keeps denying it. Players do that sometimes because they are fierce competitors, and Koch most certainly is, and they think they can play through it. If he is hurt he needs to admit it and heal otherwise he just gets worse both performance wise and physically. Now, if he isn't hurt can poor mechanics or some minor flaw in the delivery reduce his fast ball by almost 10 MPH? The team needs to get on him now and in the meantime I think White should be used more to back up Marte and Gordon. White has been pitching well lately and corrected whatever was ailing him so let's hope Koch can do the same.
  14. I didn't get a chance to watch the game as it was not broadcast in my area of the country, however, I sat in front of the computer watching MLB game day and when the 10th came along and we had three straight hits and couldn't bring in the run I was screaming. For one thing I can't see how Jimenez didn't score from 2nd, then Lee doesn't go to right field or just try to hit the ball in the air to the OF somewhere-anywhere. I agree that baseball instincts are seriously lacking and at some point players that can't play the game and do the fundamental things needed to win have to be replaced.
  15. It has been such a frustrating season so far. Look at the failures of players like PK and Koch, Buerhle's struggles, Colon's up's and downs, etc, etc, and that's why predictions are so iffy. You just never know in this game. We need to come back and win today that's for sure. I am hoping that Buerhle coming off some good starts and also his admission about pitching in the baggie dome will motivate him to the next level. Let's Go Sox!
  16. As a show of support for our Sox players, some of whom are struggling badly, I will go with PAUL KONERKO Let's hope Paulie and the Sox beat the Twinkies and take the series.
  17. Thursday, June 26, 2003 Offense keeps rolling as Sox win third straight Special to the Tribune -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OGDEN, Utah -- At the expense of the Ogden Raptors, the Great Falls White Sox are on a roll. Second baseman Antoin Gray and shortstop Mike Myers each collected three hits and drove in three runs Wednesday night at Lindquist Field as the White Sox defeated the Raptors 12-6 for their third straight victory over Ogden. Great Falls beat the Raptors 6-2 on Monday and 12-5 on Tuesday. Brian Anderson, David Cook and Brandon Bounds each collected two hits, helping the White Sox to improve to 5-3, one game behind the Northern Division-leading Helena Brewers. Ogden committed six errors as it fell below the .500 mark for the first time this season, at 4-5. Half of the Raptors' runs came in the ninth inning. Great Falls broke the game open in their half of the eighth inning, scoring five runs on four hits and an error. Gray singled home two runs and Charlie Lisk added an RBI-single. Four White Sox pitchers combined to limit Ogden to six runs on 10 hits. Right-hander Rylan Reed, who relieved starter Boone Logan with one out in the third inning, earned the victory. He allowed no runs on one hit in 2 2/3 innings of work. Gray, a Southern University product who was a 25th-round pick in the this year's draft, went 3-for-3 before giving way to pinch-hitter Tim Huson in the eighth inning. He had two singles and a double, walked twice and scored a pair of runs. Myers, a free agent signee in 2002, had a pair of singles and a triple. He scored a pair of runs. Myers got off to a fast start, tripling home Cook and Lisk to give Great Falls a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Cook singled and Lisk drew a walk. Bounds singled in the fourth inning, plating Micah Schnurstein to boost the Sox's lead to 3-1. After Ogden rallied to tie the game with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, Great Falls took the lead to stay with a run in its half of the fifth. Ricardo Nanita reached on a fielder's choice, raced all the way to third on a ground out and scored on an error. Gray had an RBI-double and Nanita had an RBI-single in the seventh, extending the Sox's lead to 6-3. The final game of the scheduled four-game set is on tap tonight, starting at 7
  18. I'm outta here. That SOB has lost us 2 games in the last 3 that we should have won. He is our big savior in the bullpen remember Kenny? Where the hell is Foulke when we need a real relief pitcher? Huh, Kenny? I'm outta here... Koch is totally worthless. He has cost us too many games this year.
  19. I DON'T BELIEVE IT. KOCH YOU STINKIN LOWLIFE. THAT'S THE LAST TIME I SAY ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT THAT FAILURE.
  20. Kielty was up and down. I hate that guy casue he has beat us before and I am scared of him and the twinkies...boooooooooo Koch did ok. Maybe he is working on it?
  21. They went to easily in the 11th. I am afraid we are going to see Botch now.
  22. I know what you mean roman. Now Jimenez is up and K's. The guy can't run and can't field and can't hit.
