  1. Pitching change for the twinkies.. Come on guys we can beat this Guido guy...
  2. HOLLY CRAPPOLA!!! Flash goes 3-2 with the bases loaded and strikes him out. WOW! The only question I have is: Does Flash think he is Koch in disguise?
  3. Base hit and two on. The Twinkies don't play station to station ball and we're in trouble.
  4. Put the leadoff batter on is not a good sign for this team. At least Flash came back to K the next guy.
  5. Let's hope we get into the next inning. If we lose I am going to puke listening to these characters go on about how heartbreaking it is and how they should have won and all we can do is go play hard tomorrow...
  6. Crede, Rowand and Harris totally overmatched. These guys are sucking air
  7. Thank goodness for having Flash available. I was afraid Billy Heartattack was coming in... I still can't get over Carlos Lee and his over swinging all the time. It wasn't that long ago he said he was going to hit to RF more and he never does. All he wants is the homer. It just had to be in the air to the OF and that's all. We would have won the game now.
  8. I can't believe our failure to score one run on 3 singles. It happens all the time.
  9. All Lee had to do was hit the ball in the air someplace in the OF. What the heck is wrong with this guy. Where is this going to RF he bragged about earlier. He wants the grand slam homer all the time. And thenm Jose goes after the first pitch geez...
  10. Yes, but unfortunately it has gone off a time or two or four or five or...
  11. I think they want to keep us guessing as to what they say and whch program they say it on. Last night at the end of BBTN they showed ELo and were praising him and then said , "Don't look now, but the Sox are only 4 1/2 out." Harold Reynolds then piped up with, " Loaiza should be the all-star game starter." They surprise you once in awhile.
  12. I don't disagree, but we know that Reinsdorf pleads poverty every year.
  13. Let's not give up on Rick White. I think he has turned the corner and figured out whatever was wrong with him before.
  14. Jose Valentin because everyone is down on him and he will be on fire.
  15. Wow, we're giving credit to koch when he was given 2 outs and nobody on in the 9th when he came in??? Koch also sucks...the guy fall behind 2-0 then comes back, and hunter hits a bullet at Crede..this guy can't do anything easy... I being the biggest Foulke supporter when he was here am still pissed that we "gave" up on him cause he had 2 bad months last year... ARGH!!! :fyou I miss Foulke... I have to agree. I only saw the highlight and it looked as if Koch's ball had good sharp break, but it was up enough to get hit hard. Crede got it and I wonder if it weren't for playing back on the astroturf if he would have gotten it in another ballpark made of real grass? Might be overly critical here of Koch, but he is a panic attack in black and silver.
  16. Frank and the Sox will knock the smirk right off those Twinkies shameless faces.
  17. I like our chances with Garland pitching. However, I agree we need to score more than 2 runs, more like three runs would do. 3-2 Sox winner.
  18. Jose Valentin is the SS for the Sox. He is a good heads up, hustling ball player, who does whatever he is asked to for the team. He tries to hard sometimes and I think if he reined in some of that hustle he would be better defensively. I believe he will get hot and the second half will be better. I don't see the Sox going after anyone else for SS at this point anyway. We don't have the money to spend, or at least JR says he doesn't, and if we get a new SS it will be from our own system. That's my take anyway.
  19. Sox should never have traded Keith Foulke. I was amazed that they did. Maybe it was that economics thing, but they turned around and signed Kock to a money deal. I think it was just a bad move and really had no basis in performance because Keith turned it around the second half of the season. There had to be more to the story, but we will probably never know. Now it is possible Foulke could leave Oakland as a free agent is that not correct?
  20. I would like to see Drew is a Sox uniform, but not for Buerhle. One of the main considerations anymore when making a trade is the ecomoronics of baseball and Buerhle is not eligible for free agency till at leat 2006. Drew has only one more year. Buerhle is also an all-star pitcher and will rebound from this slump.
  21. Wednesday, June 25, 2003 No. 1 pick Anderson whacks big hit for Sox Special to the Tribune -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OGDEN, Utah -- Brian Anderson picked a great time to get his first professional base hit. Anderson, the No. 1 draft choice of the Chicago White Sox earlier this month, lashed a two-run single in the seventh inning Tuesday night as the Great Falls White Sox downed the Ogden Raptors 12-5. It was the second straight victory for Great Falls (4-3) over Ogden (3-4). The Pioneer League rivals meet again tonight at Lindquist Field in the final game of the series. Ogden broke out on top 2-0 early, but the White Sox scored twice in the third inning to tie the score, and added two more in the fourth to grab a 4-2 lead. Ricardo Nanita ripped a two-run double in the third inning. Then in the fourth, David Cook knocked in one run with a single and Brandon Bounds brought home another with a sacrifice fly. The Raptors tied the score in the sixth on a single by Ryan Carter, a double by Luis Castilla and a single by David Cardona. Antoin Gray doubled in the seventh, then Nanita was walked to load the bases for Anderson. The young outfielder got down in the count at no balls, two strikes, then singled up the middle to put his team ahead to stay. Ogden got a run back in its half of the seventh as Castilla single home a run. But White Sox reliever Matt Nachreiner struck out two Raptors to end the threat. The White Sox went back on top 8-5 on Matt Buechler's RBI single in the eighth. Great Falls added four more runs in the ninth on Micah Schnurstein's RBI single and Bounds' three-run double.
  22. This is another example of why many Sox fans feel put down and put upon by the national media. Plus how could they make that kind of value judgement when the stats scream otherwise? Gammons on ESPN BBTN and Bobby V and Harold Reynolds all agreed tonight that Loaiza should start the all-star game. They showed some highlights and praised his pitching.
  23. Juan-Gone won't take the trade to Montreal. I think it will be for all the reasons already stated plus the fact his family lives in the Dallas area. He might accept a trade somewhere else though so stay tuned. ESPN BBTN was crucifying baseball agents as ruining the game.
