The decision to bring Danny up was made on Thursday. Kenny had no reason to be there. Maybe Steff. But he pitched Saturday night didn't he? Yes he did. It is my understanding that Kenny didn't see one second of that game though. This is great stuff then. Hold your breath I think their coming around the stretch!

If it happens my guess is that Eddie tries to get Schueler back

I will be surprised if this does happen. Don't know whether I would be happy or not. I don't see the same things others are seeing about KW and JM. I would think KW was in Charlotte to see Danny Wright and maybe the others on the Knights. You also see nothing but hugs and kisses from KW and JM, etc. But I might be eating my words too.

Can't we just get along people!? Let's just try to understand each other and love one another. No reason to get so angry and profane at a fellow Sox fan is there? Peace be with you. Jarry Manuel

Yes, I think we can catch the Tigers, but I think we would be going in the wrong direction. We may be trying though as we dropped behind the Twinkies by a 1/2 game. I couldn't believe DJ tried to score on that pop fly, but even worse was the fact we get two on right off the bat and then Frank and Mags look like little leagures at bat.

I don't get ESPN radio, but watched on TV last night with Joe Morgan talking about Frank. He spotted differences in the way Frank was hitting in the past and said he is hitting flat footed and dropping down. He is also frustrated by the way the pitchers are approaching their game to him. They go inside and have him always looking there, but he is not making adjustments. They also mentioned Ichiro getting pitched the same way. The comment was you just have to adjust as it's no secret the way pitchers are going to come after him, but he isn't ready at all. There were two pitches right over the plate that Frank could have crushed, but he couldn't swing and looked as if he was backing out. Maybe Hriniak should join the team full time?

I don't know much about wally Backman as a manager. I know his in AA and Leyva is our AAA manager correct? Why do folks think Wally Backman should be cosidered as our next skipper? Is it too early to think about replacing Jerry Manuel? If we accept that it's the player's who need to produce, as even the players say (most notably Valentin and Konerko) what do we need to do to charge them up? If they aren't hitting to the opposite field as Manuel and Ward have noted and are flat, which anyone can see, who is responsible for that? Is it a coaching chnage rather than a mangerial change that we need? I am interested in what Sox fans think about these questions.

I would guess that Saturday will be his first game. That would have been Stewart's place in the rotation. I think that game is on WGN also.

I just saw the report on Stewart down and Wright up. I made a post earlier about watching the Sox game next Friday in Seattle and wondering what changes would be made by then. Didn't have to wait long. Hope Wright can deliver.

What do you do? Great 1st inning for Colon. Typical "heart of the line up" melt down for the Sox. Then 3 homers given up by Colon. I think what hurts the most is the two strike hit to the professional hitter Martinez. Two great pitches and Colon fails badly on the third and Joe Morgan says how hard it is to throw three strikes low by any pitcher. Meche did it. Garcia did it, Zito did it, etc, etc. Why can't our guys do it? Then to top it off I wait around for 2 hours after the rain started just hoping for more baseball and more punishment. Oh well, it's on to the West coast. Sox game will be on Friday over the Mariners network and we get it here so I'll be watching and hoping for a Sox win. But, I have to wonder what changes will be here when Friday rolls around?

Everyone is in a slump including the Big Hurt. I have seen some awfully good swings on his part and think he will come out of it. He is frustrated with how he is being pitched and will make adjustments.

Donkey must be trying to pull a reverse psychology ploy. I also don't want it to rain people. Or do I?

What's up with the umpiring. We have lost a number of calls, which weren't even that close. Crede lost a homer, which turned the tide of the game; we lost the call Sat at 2nd base, which led to another three runs and basically crushed us; and there have been more. Is it just bad luck or is the umpiring not as sharp? Also it always seems to go against us.

I saw the game on WGN. Or what they called a baseball game. I can't believe the way Stewart pitched and of course White comes in and can't get the first batter out as usual. I don't know what to make of Koch. Pitches seemed they had the speed, but were straight and when Cirillo hit the homer just added to the problems Koch has. I don't know hom he can stay positive. Gordon and Marte are the closers for now.

Stewart keeps getting ahead of the hitters and can't seem to put them away with two strikes. I agree more minors time is probably best. If Garland has another bad outing maybe he should be sent down too. Nothing like a wake up call. You don't learn to pitch at the big league level you learn in the minors and refine it in the bigs. If Jon can't figure it out maybe practicing at Charlotte is what he needs to do.
-
I agree we don't need Valentine. We need Larussa. But since that won't happen I'll continue to support Jerry Manuel. It's to early to think managing change anyway. But if we are still struggling the same way in June look out.
-
I don't think there will be any front office changes. Really not sure there should be anyway, but I do agree there must be somthing done to shake things up. We need to get our teams charged up. This is too much like last seasons beatings we took before and during the West coast swing. We didn't do to bad against Oakland thanks to our pitching, but of course we have a powder puff offense right now. The pitching has no collapsed too. Hope is eternal and a win or two is all we need to think of October and the promised land. Maybe tonight on ESPN we will see Colon step up and shut down the Mariners. He will have to because with 4 or 5 hits a game the Sox aren't going to outscore them.
-
At this point I would just settle for our players showing the same hustle and determination the Damon shows in Boston. Hopefully they will get on track soon. We need a good winning streak and that will make us all happy.
-
Thanks for the update. I will be watching the game on WGN and then tomorrow night the game is on ESPN so I'll get that one too. Hoping for a good couple days.
-
I logged on a couple days ago for the first time and met Steff. We were the only one's there in the chat room. Does anyone ever use it? I have gone back a couple times and no one was logged in. I was just wondering if there is another one Sox Fans use instead of the Soxnet?
-
I kind of figured that rafacosta. I used to live in the old Panama Canal Zone. Good to see Sox fans are everywhere.
-
I may gripe once in awhile and cuss under my breath when we aren't going good, but I have been a Sox fan since I was a kid and that goes back to 1959. I am a long suffering Sox fan and still love the Chisox!! I will be ready for Saturday night on WGN and Sunday on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball. Let's all watch together and chant for the Sox. I live to far away from Chicago and only hope to maybe take a mini-vacation and take in a weekend at Comiskey. YES COMISKEY!!

My thoughts exactly, who cares what this asshole has to say? He's one pompous SOB. I think he should be the manager of the Sox.
