If the Apple subreddit is any indication, iOS 8 is buggier than all hell. My favorite bug is the music app deleting people's tracks whenever they listen to them. Apple starting to get acquainted with the difficulty of rolling out updates to a myriad of devices

Adrian Peterson indicted for negligent injury to a child
Jake replied to MurcieOne's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Some kids are always "out of control" because they have mental illnesses. For instance, 5% of children have ADHD. That means they will not simply get better because they are being given timeout/scoldings/spankings/etc. That's only one example. It's important to give families leniency in the way they raise their children. Even if we didn't desire to give families broad leeway in the way they do child rearing, no society could hope to enforce draconian rules on these things anyway. With that said, you don't own your child. They are not your property. So you can't do whatever you want with them. They have rights and don't have the ability to stand up for them. We have to make sure we stand up for them as a society and draw lines where we decide lines must be drawn. Anyone that has been involved with DCFS or foster parenting knows that to the best of our knowledge, it is usually best for kids to stick with the people who raised them if it is at all possible/conscionable. So it isn't about taking children away. I'm not 100% convinced that Adrian Peterson is incapable of being a father to his children. After he is punished and hopefully educated, I hope he gets to play some fatherly role in his children's lives. He doesn't get infinite chances to do this, but his children deserve a father. But he has to quit hitting those kids. You cut your little boy's legs up with a f***ing stick, alarming two medical doctors? You have forfeited whatever right other people have for corporal punishment. -

While there seemed to be a lot of ambiguity in regard to Brandon's situations, it also seemed rather unexamined -

The crux of most anti-vax opinion is that it causes autism - because there was an observed increase in vaccinations and autism diagnoses...which was irrelevant. There was a landmark study that showed more than mere correlation, but it was found to have used falsified data and troves of research has tried to replicate it and found no such causal association. I suppose the movement may have developed some other claims since then, but I'm not aware of them. Over-vaccinating...sheesh, that doesn't even make sense. Over-medicating? Sure. Vaccinations...nope, I can't even fathom the logic -

If there is physical evidence of how you hit your kid about 10 minutes afterwards, that would be an indication that you went too far. As far as Cutler goes, the lack of vaccination is bad. There is a degree to which it is accepted because that is basically an upper-class white way to harm children. The main difference to me, though, is that Jay is leaving his kids open to potential harm. It is reckless. What Peterson did is actively harm his kids. What Jay Cutler is doing is more like choosing a babysitter by random draw and knowing that there is a 1 in 1000 chance that the babysitter is Adrian Peterson -
In WAR, everything is "weighted" according to how many runs it is worth. Instead of deciding what parts of the game are most important, it is as close to objective as possible - your baserunning mistake/inability is worth x runs, so that's how many runs less value you have

Wins are always good. Every loss is a time a fan says "this team wasn't worth my time" not to mention the fact that it also probably means we aren't getting the best from our young guys -
Greg, you might be happy to know that Stephen Colbert is actually super Catholic and reportedly a rather moderate person in private and unequivocally a family man.

The Bears D frustrated their run game quite a bit at times, but I'm inclined to think SF should have gone back to the ground a bit more...especially when they seemed to have total control of the game -

Cutler didn't give the ball away. That, along with a strong showing from the D, made it okay that we had a putrid offense early. -

SF kept giving us penalties and it felt like we weren't doing anything ourselves...and then the O really hit its stride after a penalty in the first drive of the second half and we were unstoppable from there onward. Great showing by the D as well. They did exactly what we needed and this time the O held up its end of the bargain, albeit a little late in the game -
