  1. Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 25s Gregg Popovich has agreed to a contract extension, Spurs say in release. I had been told he was eager to coach another 4-5 years. Surprised about that
  2. Who would have guessed these smiling faces couldn't sell somebody on their product?

His K rate has remained low throughout his little stallout, so I'm not worried
  4. I'm actually okay with guys going for the money. That means it's a league that I can understand. The Big 3 pre-planning to take less cash to go to MIA just blew everyone's mind
  5. I don't blame him for checking things out. If you've never had the ability to look into other teams, how do you know if your team is the right choice?
  6. If The Decision 2010 is any indication, the choice is always what nobody expects LBJ and Melo to LA!
  7. On the bright side, I still like the Bulls in a Heat-less East
  8. All that non-leaking and he blows his own announcement within hours of it happening by telling some guy who ran to the NYDN?
  9. Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 4m Several days ago -- and maybe it's changed since but... -- 'Melo hadn't even been able to reach LeBron James, sources tell Yahoo.
  10. Sign a max guaranteed contract with NY now, get traded later? What kind of plan is that?
  11. There's no use in believing any rumors now
  12. If legit, it won't be hard for Melo to know exactly who that friend is
  13. Marc Stein is full of f***ing s***. Bulls might be out of it, might have always been out of it, but he never knew
  14. The ESPN reporter says a neighbor sent him the pics, but presumably are legit. However, as he said, he might move his cars around every summer
  15. That doesn't look like a super nice neighborhood. Interesting that the ESPN reporter seems to be backing it

Johnson doesn't have to be hurt to get some time off. Does anyone know if there's any chance they're doing some short-term loss/long-term gain kind of stuff, having him focus on some mechanical thing or working on a particular pitch? Has anyone commented on the pitching style he's used in AAA?
  17. If they don't think they can get T-Flow to bat better than the .095 he's been rocking for the past 5-6 weeks, and they don't like Phegley (not much, if any, better offense and awful D), and they think AJ can offer good handling of the pitching staff...I can see it.
  18. Well, if you really want a guy who can outhit Flowers, I think AJ can still do that.
  19. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 12:38 PM) let's just take a quick moment to laugh at this: http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2013/07/10/k...e-for-bargnani/ The whole deal seems plausible until you realize that the Knicks sent picks along, too. When it was in reality a salary dump for TOR, the Knicks sent extra assets as if they had been convinced they were the ones dumping salary and were lucky to get a player like Bargnani in return. That's good stuff. Did anyone think that was a good deal when it was made?
  20. If Melo is really waiting on LBJ, which I'm a little doubtful about but the timing seems to be syncing, the most plausible explanation IMO is that Melo is going to a non-NY team if LBJ goes to CLE, NY if MIA on short deal, non-NY team if MIA on long deal. I can imagine the Knicks selling him on LBJ's availability once they get cap room
  21. That dude's face and neck keep getting bigger and bigger. I thought he was Mark Salas the other day
  22. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 08:37 AM) lol, i just was gonna let it sit there until it clicked with him It was never going to click
  23. We might also have to deal with the possibility that the city of Chicago isn't appealing to these guys. It may or may not be the case, but you sure never hear about people being interested in the Bulls just because of the city like you hear with NY/LA/MIA
  24. It sounds a whole hell of a lot like CLE at least believes they are in it for LBJ. They're going to feel pretty down if it doesn't work out again
  25. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 8, 2014 -> 05:30 PM) The last part would seriously depend on where you go...there are places I wouldn't want to be -- ever -- and places I love to visit, but I always love coming home. That said, my absolute favorite place to travel is right here, the US of A. This entire study, if it can be called that, is a complete matter of perspective (or lack thereof), not to mention opinion. See, that's the thing. You don't even have to come to the conclusion that everywhere or anywhere else is better, you just benefit immensely from the perspective gained
