  1. easy to know the snap count when you snap it with 1 second every time

    Alright begin

Can't stop eating these cinnamon toaster strudels
  3. Oregon made a lot of lucky baskets tonight. I think Illinois looked like the better team. Stinks to lose, but I'm encouraged by how we looked
  4. He's had his peripherals decline in consecutive years in Japan as well.
  5. The pitching situation is fine and could realistically be better than last year
  6. That's just because Steve is incredibly sour like J4L whenever Derrick is out
  7. He's not young, but I'd be happy to flip him for Brandon Phillips
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 04:44 PM) Because he believes hopes he will hit .300 and get on base at a .400 clip and he will go get any ball hit out to CF
  9. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 12:03 PM) I think he's worth more to us than to another team. I think he's worth less to us than anyone else, because his age and contract status means that he will just block a player (Viciedo) who fits into our plans much better
  10. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 02:04 PM) That's only because he should have had two interceptions against Dallas but their secondary has awful hands. The second one was by no means deserving of an interception, it would have been a seriously amazing play. Regardless, every QB has INTs dropped by the defense. And given we're talking about accuracy, that play wouldn't have affected his accuracy rating
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 01:53 PM) Honestly as much as I like the guy and want him to be the coach, if he can't see the bigger picture, f*** him. Goodbye. This year is going nowhere. Why not try and get another all start level talent to play with Rose next year? I don't think he minds that so much as the prospect of indefinite rebuilding, since nobody tends to be so good at it that it can be achieved during one season
  12. Got myself a VPN so nobody spies on me. Might be redundant considering I'm not engaged in any "high risk" behavior, but I'm not taking any chances. Greetings from Toronto!
  13. There's nobody it would mean more to than Hawk.
  14. What nobody seems eager to acknowledge that trying to tank may run Thibs out of town. This dude does not want to coach a developmental squad
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) I can say the same thing about the White Sox right now and their system is generally acknowledged to be terrible. If all the talented guys the White Sox have live up to expectations we can win right now. In baseball, saying "if everything happens as it should" is a guarantee of failure. The nice thing about saying that about the Sox is that it applies to MLB players. For the Cubs, it's all "if all these guys who are multiple years away from the MLB make it that far healthy and play their best, the Cubs will be good (except not have any pitching)." For us, it's "if the players on our MLB team meet their potential, we'll win this year and indefinitely into the future.
  16. Semien hasn't done enough to suggest he's MLB ready. He did good in AAA, but not nearly similar enough to his AA numbers and was basically s***ty in the MLB in terms of his ability to work a count. AA - almost 1:1 BB:K AAA - 1:2 BB:K MLB 1:30 BB:K That just screams to me that he needs more time in AAA.
  17. Sounds like Hahn will be more than happy to offer him back if he gets another C
  18. Your backup catcher gets fewer at-bats than any other player in most cases. This isn't rocket science. You just send Phegley back down to the minors unless you feel very strongly that Phegley needs MLB at-bats. s***, maybe we think Nieto should start.
  19. Seems like adoption occurs just infrequently enough (or seems to, based on our assumptions of blood relations by appearance) that we just assume families are blood related. I have a sibling that was given up for adoption before mum was ready. They ended up getting in touch. Things are complicated, but good lord are they the same exact person.
  20. Our team shares some similarities to last year's Baltimore team. In Week 14, a complete dismantling seemed more likely than a SB
  21. I think we just argued for the benefit of keeping Dayan another year
  22. If anyone is wondering about the PED test in 2011, he popped for what most would call Anavar. You won't see too many guys pinning Anavar, but it was quite popular at one point as a not-really-legal OTC, oral steroid. It has been illegal for a while, but its status is murky enough that if you go searching for hardcore testosterone boosters on the 'net you might happen upon it or something like it. In 2011, it would have been really easy to get online and because the people selling it felt they weren't breaking the law, they wouldn't ever dare label it as a steroid but instead just call it "Anavar," list its long chemical name on the back, and tell you it will make you jacked. It isn't super potent, but is relatively low on the side effects which is why it was nice for guys that only like to break the law a little bit (and thus don't want to buy the good stuff for post-cycle recovery). He was probably just stupid.
