The beauty of young players is that the expectation is non-success. If they are unsuccessful, they are simply meeting expectations. If they do well, they are exceeding. It is difficult for an 18 year old to play below expectations.

The nice thing is that many solutions are in progress and it is called father time. Racists are dying. If there is to be an amended version of what a natural-born citizen is, it will make Ted Cruz a non-citizen. He was born in Canada to a family that had no immediate intentions of returning to the USA. I had no idea you could be considered "natural-born" in that case. He's natural-born by blood only, which is kind of funny.

I don't really care about the Red Sox because we got a better player in return than we ever seriously thought we'd get. I'm happy for the Tigers to have been fleeced.

Sox. We're not only closer now with excellent pitching (including depth) and a few young pieces on offense, but our front office has actually shown a willingness to win. Theo will probably hand out a bad contract to an offensive player this offseason but never actually make moves that make them a winning club.
