  1. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 07:49 AM) I hope BOA or the Sox send you a check for your work. Agreed, you deserve it.
  2. What were the pants that went with them? Anything flashy?
  3. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 04:14 PM) Your 4th year anniversary is coming soon. Didn't realize that. Perhaps I should be honored.
  4. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 01:45 PM) I forgot about OSU being the Cowboys, but I didn't want them to pick the Cowboys anyways. I don't like it when sports teams have the same name, like the Giants and Cardinals are both in baseball and football. I was hoping they'd pick something like the Marshalls or along those lines, but that name wasn't even mentioned. Instead they pick the Thunder, which sounds almost as bad as Iowa's new hockey team, the Iowa Chops. At least OKC continued with the lack of plurality such as the Jazz, Magic, and Heat. And in my opinion they should drop the "City" and just be the Oklahoma Thunder. I can think of some bad names from the indoor football league near me. The Bloomington Extreme is so named because of the Extreme Motors dealership that is a big sponsor. Another funny name to me is the Omaha Beef.
  5. Many of you may remember this, I didn't. In 1999, almost all MLB teams hosted a Turn Ahead the Clock Night. According to Baseball Reference, the White Sox played in one of these games. What it was was each team designed a jersey for the year 2021, most of which with no sleeves, strange logo placement, among other things. You can read the Uni Watch to learn more. I wanted to see what the Sox wore that day, but they are just about the only team that I can't find a photo of the jersey they wore that day. So here's the challenge -- can anyone find it? Does anyone remember us wearing them? I'm curious as to what the Sox's rendition of these strange, fun uniforms were.
  6. So we could potentially play a Tigers-Twins doubleheader after the season?
  7. Will he finish the season?
  8. QUOTE (The Critic @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 02:51 PM) It's what you win to host a one-plame gayoff...... wait....what??? Maybe I'm too sleepy, but I don't get it.
  9. Here in Pontiac last year our town flooded big time. We were declared a natural disaster area, as a matter of fact. We had hundreds of people forced from their homes in town of 10000, and many more still feel the financial effects of the flood still, nearly a year later.
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 05:58 PM) Some pretty cool live webcams: http://lhc-live.com/
  11. I think that the position players are in the locker room thinking..."4 runs is good enough. We did our job." and the pitchers are thinking "It doesn't matter how many runs we gave up, the offense wasn't going to score until the pressure was off."
  12. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 08:23 PM) 80 pitches or not we have no confidence in our pen to get two shutout innings? Call it a notion but I knew he was going to get hit hard that inning, and we didn't pull him quick enough once again. And yes, the same Angels we beat last week. Odds of us beating them in a 5 or 7 game series? Maybe 20% tops? Where's the half empty thread this team is pathetic I am so sick of watching this nonsense If this team is this pathetic and you don't want to watch him, what are you doing on this message board? If there's no hope in your eyes and you don't like to watch, don't.
