  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 10:54 AM) The problem is that the kids are back in school and college then. It doesn't work for us too well. How about a simulated game in December during Christmas Break? I think I can get Wood and Prior........
  2. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 03:41 AM) Kind of makes me want to make it up for next year's game, though the small turnout is a turnoff since I'd be making a long trip to do so... The weather was the reason for the small turnout. We had 21 or so people at WSI say they wanted to play and most of them were coming from far-out suburbs. It was raining buckets that day, so I don't blame them for not making the trip (unless they had tickets to the Sox game that evening). I think next year we should shoot for a September date. The weather is better then and the Sox game that night will be more important because of the date.
  3. Where is this "Armor Park" you speak of? Maybe I don't recognize the game you describe because I was at Armour Square Park.....
  4. QUOTE (YASNY @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 01:16 PM) You get a cake at 100 posts. You have to pay at 8. Well, I better get busy with one word postings that add nothing to the discussion at hand.........
  5. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 01:34 PM) Be careful. You'll be up to 100 posts here before you know it! Uh oh! What happens then? I have to pay?
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 07:19 AM) How about we trade him to you and he can give you all of the motivation that you need! Hmmm......I know a White Sox fan site which would take him off our hands in a trade. He'd fit right in with them.......I just don't know who we'd want from them.
  7. As a condition to play you guys next year we make the following demands: 1. Pratt plays middle infield for Soxtalk. 2. Pratt gives WSI our locker room talk before the game. He's a tremendous motivational speaker. Really.
  8. Hey guys, it was good playin' with you. Well, most of you. Well, ok, all but Pratt. I'm sure Pratt will be ok next time if he remembers his meds.......(just bustin' your chops Greg, back off). It was little bit wet, just a little bit, but no blown ligaments were experienced which is a good thing. I think next time, we should play in January or February, it usually does not rain then! For those of you haven't seen it, I posted a picture on WSI of the participants while we gathered around the Pitcher's Mound (which was 10 feet under water). I tried to copy and paste it here, but it would not paste. You can view it here. http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbullet...p;postcount=149
  9. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Jul 14, 2008 -> 04:00 PM) And we will blow WSI out of the water. Bring it. I said
  10. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ May 23, 2008 -> 01:04 PM) If I remember correctly, you need talent more than bulletin board material. Didn't we win by like twenty runs? i'm looking forward to seeing you guys again. Last year's was a blast. The individuals who caused that debacle last year were perma banned from WSI to a degree never seen before. We went to each of their computers and made sure all and any cookies were removed from them to prevent them from even lurking us. We then traded for some prospects that, by comparison, make the Carlos Quentin deal look risky.
  11. I would like to thank all of you who have provided us at WSI with some great bulletin board material for The Showdown on Thirty Third Street.
  12. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 09:10 AM) After full season ticket holders it's 27 game holders, then I would assume the 13 game holders, then the 9 game holders. Personally I like the UD boxes. We have lower full season but when we need extras I usually get them up there in the first 8 rows because you can see everything. To be honest.. I would sit in the furthest corner in the last row with obstructed view if the Sox made the playoffs!! Minnie Plan holders do NOT have the post season option. I bought the Minnie Plan and that was one question I asked my rep. I went ahead to buy Minnie instead of Ozzie because the Ozzie would have been a few hundred more $$ for the extra games and those games were in April and May (brrrrrrrrrrrr....). I figure that when we get to the post season this year, I can get tickets somehow and the cost of those tickets would probably be less than the extra $$ for Ozzie Plan plus the tickets.
