My point is that almost everyone(including myself) think they are going to acquire a Wide Reciever with the first pick.
That would give them 6 wide recievers and none of them are going to get cut or anything.
I dont think there are any teams come the beginning of the regular season with 6 wide recievers which is why its interesting.

I really dont understand all the RB talk.
Thomas Jones is good and will have an even better year. That should be very low on the list of needs(We could get a backup RB easy).
What worries me far more than anything else is the O LINE. Thats where they need to improve and it's pretty much been a proven fact that a good offensive line can lead ANY running back to a great season(The Broncos)
John Tait-LT
Olin Kreutz-C
The rest has quesetion marks...

First off that makes no sense, if he wont be on the board, how can u say "if edwards is somehow still on the board". That makes no frign sense.
Second, tell me who would pick him instead? The bears could but thatd mean williams would be the 6th pick and ud be saying the same thing.

Dude, this guy knows everything about how to pitch.
he doesnt have great stuff, but he has great controls AND KNOWS HOW TO PITCH.
I laugh when I read soemthing about him "learning the waste pitch"

Amen.
Ala the reason why I as well as numerous sox fans i know of mute the television and listen to the radio when they watch games. It's a shame we won't get stone. How about a Steve Stone/Robin Ventura broadcasts. Thatd be fun even though thered be no play by play guy

Good Point.
However, I've always felt that Lee is an ass and a punk simply from his outfield play especially last year.
Did his outfield play improve-OH YES. But he became so full of himself and so lazy that it pissed me off. And nobody on this board agreed with me ,in fact people laughed at me for this.
CARLOS IS A PUNK---Maggs is a great guy who has always been great to our organization except when he gave praise to the cubs...

You say that as for ALL VETERANS.
Sure, spring training results mean absolutely nothing for most veterans. But there are guys in which it is very meaningful as far as the outlook on his future success during that season.
And quite frankly, El Duque's struggles scare me because he is 40(listed at 35 but hes 40) and has had injury problems and his stuff has diminished----
El Duque's spring situation is one of the TOP 5 Things I am looking at during this spring training.

Roids enabled Bonds to hit more HR's which then is factored into the calculation of his OPS, OBP, & SLG. Unless you have another roids player to compare him to that clearly shows that roids enabled him to hit more singles, doubles, triples, & get walks you are standing in a pile of bulls***.
AS a previous poster said, if u dont understand how his hr rate effected his walk total, your a complete idiot.
When you hit many homeruns, pitchers fear u more, therefore they will pitch around pumping ur walk total greatly.
It is just like a guy who steals bases. Does a pitcher treat Frank Thomas on first base the same as he treats Scott Podsednik on first base? NO! Does a pitcher treat Michael Tucker the same as he treats Barry Bonds hitting? NO!

Yes he was, he was one of the top pitching specs according to many sites and he had a mid 90s fastball back in the day

Thats because bush is diminishing the supervision of businesses and I agree; It's a poor use of money(But I could name 20,438 things that he is waisting money on)

From what I read about him, he seems to be one of those boom or bust guys.
Meaning, theres a chance he wont make the big leagues and theres a chance he'll get 20+ hr per year and hit 280 which'd make him a top notch shortstop in the bigs.
His strength and stature are the reasons for this, or this is what ive heard.

Plesae dont call these people that write articles and are on ESPN experts cuz quite frankly, mmost of them are idiots and are only involved with journalism/Broadcasting for charisma/writing abillity.........
We are just as good(knowledgably & analyzically) as Rob Neyer, Tim Kirkijan etc.
THESE GUYS ARE NOT EXPERTS-IF YOU WANT TO TALK TO AN EXPERT........Meet some of the top futures gamblers in sports or listen to a man like Billy Beane or Theo Epstein or John Schulsterererererere(somethin like that) or even Walt Jocketty.
Listening to Steve Phillips makes me sick; HE is an embarassment to baseball itself.
Curse...What Curse?

Ya, we all know that it's complete BS, but it's his job to hype up something like that.
