  1. Wow i cant believe i got so many responses from my question about Bullard. even better he even responded to this forum. Bullard you really seem genuine and like a cool guy. But why wouldnt you be, you're a CA boy like myself. Its cool to see a pro guy talk with us outsiders that are trying to get a glimpse of a pros life. I have a question for you since now i know you read this stuff. Doesn't it kinda suck that you don't get the recognition that some of the other ptchers do. i think from what i've read about you that you are just as good as the "prospects" if not better than some. hang in there and dominate this year so people finally will see how good you are.
  2. THanks chisoxfn for the info. I bet Bullard has another solid year. If the Barons can score some runs he'll have a good record to go along with his solid ERA and K/BB ratio. If anything he needs to cut down on hits/inn. From what I've heard about Cotts, he and Bullard are very similar. It should be interesting to see how the Barons do this year with the 2 of them, along with Allen, Phillips etc. in Bham.
  3. I am gonna back up what Chisoxfn had to say and agree that Daubach is a huge pickup for the bench but as far as Loaiza is concerned, I don't see him making the opening day roster. The Sox starters will be Buerhle, Colon, Wright, Garland, and Rauch to begin the year. And it also doesnt seem that Loaiza could crack the bullpen either considering that we picked up Gordon, White and have some prospects ie. Munoz and Sanders, waiting in the wings.
  4. I was reading on soxnet about the year in review of the sox minor league affiliates and on the Winston Salem team it mentioned that their ace was a lefty named Jim Bullard. I looked at his stats and they were great, considering how bad Winston Salem's team was. He led the team in wins and ERA among the starters and he made the Carolina League All Star team. He even got a promotion to AA and pitched there for the last month and a half of the season. I was wondering why he is not considered one of the Sox's top pitching prospects. I mean the kid is a 2001 pick and he already has seen AA action. Also he is a lefthanded 6'7 guy who seems to have pretty good stuff according to what I have read. Please fill me in on this guy if you have any knowledge of him and also, where would he rank in the organization's top prospects?
