thanks guys i appreciate it. when i read some of the posts yesterday, because i didn't have a chance to read the whole article. i was under the impression that there was a problem and that mlb was trying to go after soxtalk and all that. but of course after i went out and got me a copy of my "claim to fame" i was thrilled to have been in the magazine and having soxtalk being put in the spotlight!! i think i am going to change my signature to......

i don;t get how he can say that the sox should of traded podsednik instead of rowand.........thats crazy!! scotty is the reason our offense gets started, why would we trade a guy that can steal 60 bases?

i am concerned because he was showing signs of fatigue at the end of last year and with him pitching earlier he can get tired alot quicker like say mid to late august.

tell me about it. when we got thome i only felt this was half the piece of the puzzle that needed to be in place and now i am even happier. On the score they replayed the grand slam that konerko hit and it gave me the biggest chills.

hey good luck to the blue jays...........them signing all these players for obscene amounts of money are actually pretty good in a way because it takes away other teams especially in our division and of course the yanks and boston from getting them. anyone that is doing something to give the two teams in the east a run for it is ok in my book.

i am a little skeptical on this one. If we sign him then trade marte and a prospect for pierre then i am all for it. Otherwise i think marte can bounce back.

I am looking at it this way........."no news is good news!" in regards to konerko. If his name isn't being mentioned then that is good. So far real quiet on the konerko front, there hasn;t been anything reallly mentioned about him since about a week after the world series. So hopefully this works out.

That sounds like fun.........I plan on going to fenway this year for the 2 out of the 3 games, or maybe all 3 games depending on work schedule.

we will see what happens. Maybe kw is thinking hey lets wait and see what other teams are going to offer then we can offer. What if but the remote chance no one offers more then what the sox are. What if the angels highest offer is 4 years 40 mil. then the sox would just have to up the ante a little bit. This is smart, why over pay if you dont have to.

i am actually thinking in all this is that Konerko will be back. Who else has a chance to make as much money out there. would you sign a big contract without at least testing the market? He has the biggest leverage here. I think he is holding out to see if the sox will give him his 5 years then he will sign.......but i also think if the sox don;t give him 5 years and just the 4 years, i still think he will be back. the longer he waits the more he brings up his price. With kenny saying about gload being not a problem at first.......that is just a bargining ploy used to tell everyone "hey we didn't sign konerko fine we got gload and some other options" KW doesn't want to seem desperate.

wonderful...............lets trade some of our great pitching for a guy that gets hurt alot of the last few years, and not just ante up and get konerko. please lets hope ross gload isn;t the answer...........i will choke myself, i am not a big gload fan at all!
