COME OUT TO THE PARK!!! i can;t wait till tomorrow when this series gets going. it is about that time to put all this 1969 crap to rest. we sweep this series or at least take 2 out of 3 then we are starting to show people who the real team is.

i got my tix through a friend of the family who couldn't go to the second game because of a business trip (oct 5) he has season tix and has the whole playoff package including world series. he charged me the 10 over the face value because he was going to donate that money into his works fund raisor for new orleans.

i just got 2 tickets for game 2 in sec 119 row 13 for 10.00 over face value for each one.

well since this topic is brought up does anyone know where i can get my hands on the t-shirt that says cubs suck on the front and on the back it says "i would rather have a sister in a whorehouse then a brother who is a cubs fan" i have looked all over for it and i just can't find it any where. any help?

mb won't be traded he will be here for a while-----face of the team. but i respect your opinion though.

the best chance for something to happen will be right before the deadline say possible like 11:30 p.m. hopefullly the reds are just going to hold out till the very end just to get us to keep upping the ante.

i don't car what happens we just better start playing better because i am officially worried that this team might blow it. Getting ken grif would be a nice spark for this team and that is what we need to have, i say the sox should just pick up the whole contract and make it happen. because i don't see this team having another shot to make it to the big show anytime soon its been long enough. just make it happen!

Hey sorry guys, at leat for the moment. I was told their was supposed to be an announcement friday about this and at this point nothing! I have tried to get into contact with my source about this and just a voicemail. This is why i put when i posted this message to "Don't kill the messenger" but we will see what happens maybe later or maybe bud is waiting to let things cool down.

Well first let me just say that i have been posting again the last few days because i now have a computer again, and it is great to be back seeing all of the old posters still here. Second, what i am posting I was not to mention at all to anyone but i just can't keep a secret and would love to have this all over before old selig has a chance to put it out there. I am just repeating what was told through my source that I have through MLB that works with MLB's press releases. SO IF I AM NOT CORRECT ABOUT THIS DON"T KILL THE MESSENGER! I am hearing that 2 of baseballs biggest names will be announced friday after they tested positive for steroids, i guess they appealed just like palmeiro did and that is why it took so long for this to come out. I must also tell you that my source told me about palmeiro testing positive 2 days before they announced it, so i have a reason to believe he is also right this time. A starting pitcher (old) from the astros and a center fielder from the red sox have tested positive and they will be announced and suspended come friday. That is all i have and i must say this is a BIG shock especially coming from the astros!

bruce was mentioning that the sox are interested in dimitri young? I don't know if detroit would trade him to the sox, since detroit isn't in kc's situation. i think detroit will have a good team and possibly compete if they got better pitching. so i don;t know if they fuel the fire by dealing with us.

thats true their hasn't been any big trades at all this whole season that has currently helped anyone get extremely better or anything that has made a big splash. everyone pretty much stayed with what they had.

Well at this point and after hearing constant denial from the reds about a trade for griffey (which i hope still works out). Who else would be a good fit to possibly come in a give us some offensive boost? Something like the cards did last year with getting larry walker. (griff would of given us just that). we are probably stuck hoping that andersn can shine these last month in a half, hopefully he can become are lightning in a bottle, because i am not happy with how this team has played as of late besides the yanks series.

AT ONE POINT I WAS THINKING THAT THIS DEAL WAS FOR SURE FOR THE MOST PART GOING TO HAPPEN. BUT I AM NOW SECOND GUESSING MYSELF AND THINKING THAT WE ARE GETTING OUR HOPES UP FOR NOTHING. i was listening when that email was read with bruce and bruce said that the sox are trying their hardest to get this done. the email was not really given a straight yes or no answer.
