Heading out to see the Sox in late August at Fenway. Can anyone please tell me what hotel the Sox players stay at when in Boston? Thanks!

Now that Johan Santana is almost officially out of our hair after the Mets and Twins agreed to a trade, I can only hope that KW goes hard after Coco Crisp from the Red Sox, who was part of their offer for Johan. If there is some way he can now acquire Crisp, allows you to play Swisher in his natural position of left field and we get the the CF/Leadoff Hitter we really need. If he can pull this off, then our offseason has been a major success. Imagine the lineup if Crisp comes to the Southside! I would feel very good about our chances if he can make just this one more move..

Can anyone recommend a place other than Grandstand, that sews on the new world series patches onto a jacket quality wise like when you buy a new sox jacket? I had a tailor do mine and it is awful and I want to get it fixed. Thanks for the help.

Nice article, however, I am suprised more of you didn't catch the fact that he makes out like he was a big time Cub fan for years who was "converted" this year. If he was such a big Cub fan, why would he have a Carlos Lee jersey from 4 years ago? Call me crazy, but I am a diehard Sox fan and it would be a cold day in hell before I ever purchased ANY type of Cubs merchandise, (outside of Cubs toilet paper) let alone a jersey, EVER. I think all true Sox fans would feel the same way.

Sorry to post this again, but I am really bummed I am maybe going to miss the Yankees when they come in. I have 2 tix for 8/20 (sec. 146, row 21, seats 3 and 4) that I would really like to trade for some lower level tickets for Friday night's game, 8/19. Willie Harris is one of the most unintelligent baseball players I have ever seen. I don't care how rusty you are from lack of playing time. You are a major leaguer and no doubt he has pretty good bunting ability and yet he failed to get PODs over twice with no outs. That is a f***ing travesty, and it cost us at least two runs and the game. On his swings, he didn't even appear to be trying to get the runner over, instead trying to go to the opposite field. That is the sign of someone that has no brains. I cannot for the life of me understand why Ozzie put that lineup in for the first game of a big series from a team that has owned us, except that he may have been using them for trade bait. If that is the case, Willie did himself no favors there either.

Anyone read this off the Sox website today? "I clicked the enter button quite a few times. I'm not going to lie," Podsednik said. "[My girlfriend] Lisa [Dergan] and I took turns." Not sure, but is the same Lisa (Fox Sports, Playboy) Dergan? If so, Mr. Podsednik is doing quite well for himself.

Just curious, I ordered the Ozzie 13 game plan from their web site on Monday morning. I got an email back from the Sox yesterday saying they would get back to me in 10-14 days with a response and that they would charge my credit card after that. For those who have ordered online, is that normal?

This is no different than when the Bulls brought in Dennis Rodman. He was hated by everyone on the Bulls when he was with the Pistons. The Bulls talked with Michael, Scottie,... and then agreed to sign him. Even though he caused a lot of chaos while here, they won 3 championships with him. AJ is the same type of player Rodman was. He gets in the head of the opponent and takes them out of their game. We need some character, heart, and passion on this team and he will give us that and it will spill over to other Sox players. We won't have anyone being plowed over at the plate without getting drilled the next time up if AJ is here. KW would not have offered him a contract (which I am sure is loaded with incentives) without getting a real good feeling from his talks with AJ and Sox players. Go Get Him!!

As long as KW didn't insult Clement with a lowball offer, I think we are still the frontrunners. Keep the faith.

I would guess that Kenny has his eye on Jarrod Washburn of the Angels. Likely to be non-tendered and KW has always liked him. Likely to be our number 5.
