  1. QUOTE(shoota @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 09:50 PM) I'm not sure what the accepted rule of thumb for adjusting NL stats to AL numbers, but that's something that needs to be converted before calling his sub-4 NL eras "dominant." I think I read on here last year that you can add .90 to an NL pitchers ERA to adjust it for AL. I'm not sure how accurate that is though.
  2. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 09:34 PM) In Cuba. The MLB is a whole different ballgame. Who are the guys in your sig?
  3. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 04:30 PM) who would you pick to win: mid-Sept. '05 Sox vs. current '06 Sox? I think Timo wins it in the 12th inning with a blooper into right. 1-0. Light it up! 1-0???? I think you've already lit it up.
  4. If KW tells the press that somebody isn't going to be moved, that doesn't really mean much. But if he is telling Brandon to his face that is is not going anywhere, then I think it's pertty safe to assume it is true. At least I would hope so.
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 23, 2006 -> 12:22 AM) Actually Podsednik would go bye bye, Brian would stay right where he is. Well, that's not what it says in the article, but that would be the better scenario. Still hate to lose give up Brandon. And how much does that guy make anyway?
  6. So we would likely have to give up McCarthy and then move Pods to center? Please don't do this.
  7. Not Sox related, but I wrote this a while back. It's probably the greatest haiku ever written. A haiku is a poem with seven sylla bles in the middle
  8. If those guys have, and actually use, the MLB Extra Innings package, then they would know that Hawk & DJ aren't even close to the worst.
  9. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 07:52 PM) I've been defending him all year, but I'm at the point where I can't take it anymore. It just doesn't look like the effort is there. The guy can pitch, but he's choosing not to... at least Jon and Freddy have their good games, but Javy just plain stinks. QUOTE(soxman352000 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 08:13 PM) I have to agree, I'm done with him What exactly do you mean when you say you are done with him?
  10. 21 out of 44, pretty freakin' impressive. I also saw that the Sox are at 87.2% capacity for the season.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 04:34 PM) I'm on it guys, I'm not promising anything but if I have my way we'll never have to see Podsednik play LF for the Sox again. Any news yet?
  12. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 08:24 AM) Same here. Not the Larussa teams though. Guess I'm dating myself. Alvin Dark was managing the A's the year I was born.
  13. Has anyone else had trouble getting on the Sox main web site? I'm getting this error: Invalid URL The requested URL "/NASApp/mlb/index.jsp?c_id=cws", is invalid. Reference #9.db4faad1.1151472421.0 edit: nevermind
  14. Does anyone really think we are looking for a new SS?
  15. So has anyone heard anything about Pablo?
  16. I don't know much about it, but if Gandofini is asking them not to do what he did, it sounds kind of hypocritial.
  17. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 04:30 PM) f*** espn! Please grow your mustache back.
  18. Committee considers expanding NCAA tourney
  19. Cotts played soccer in college I think, at least in high school cause I know some guys who played with him.
