  1. I live outside of Chicago, and I think it's well worth the cost. I also have XM to listen to the games I can't watch. I'm not sure about the online video broadcast, but I can't imagine having people over to watch games on my computer.
  2. Happy Bday a bit late. I just learned we have a mutual friend.
  3. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 08:51 AM) What time do you guys go on? As far as I know, Stace England will start around 9 or 9:30, probably play for about an hour, then we will play.
  4. Good to hear, we're really looking forward to it.
  5. Will Arod out perform Pujols again? I don't see Lee repeating last season. I am thinking I have to go with Arod, though I like Pujols much better personally.
  6. Hey, does anybody know anything about a bar at 4115 N. Lincoln called the Horseshoe? The reason I ask is because my band is making it's first trip to Chicago and will be playing there this Saturday, the 18th. The band is called JACKHEAD, we got together in Carbondale, and now are mostly residing in St. Louis. If anybody is looking for something to do on Saturday night, come on out and I will buy you 2 drinks of your choice. Just ask somebody who the bass player is and tell me you are from Soxtalk. You can hear a few of our songs here: Jackhead's My SpacePage Oh yeah, we are playing with Stace England & the Cairo Project. He recently put out a concept album about Cairo, IL and he does a kind of multimedia thing with a projector. If you don't know, the history of Cairo is actually pretty interesting. Here's some of his songs: Stace England & Cairo Project I do realize this is on the north side, but it'd be cool if anybody came out.

  8. I wouldn't mind somebody scratching my back while I'm working.
  9. I've had that happen before. You may have more than 1 instance of Firefox running and it doesn't show up. Bring up the Task Manager with Ctrl+Alt+Del and see if there are multiple Firefoxes open. If there are, close them all and start it again and it should open with your default profile.
  10. Meth is for poor WT people. NBA players can afford good coke.
  11. How about arguing with him for 6+ pages?
  12. Is there a thread somewhere about MLB wanting money from fantasy leagues for using their stats? Does anyone know which forum it might be in?

  14. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 11:00 AM) Hey, I worked 4 years on-air in carbondale. Lets rock this town. Did you have a show on WDBX? I was on there for about a year & a half. Oh, never mind, Q101. Is that Zimmer? I dated a girl who worked there.
  15. I was conceived in the upper deck of old Comiskey.
  16. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 14, 2006 -> 05:00 PM) What a bad plan this guy had. http://www.news24.com/News24/World/News/0,...1861809,00.html :headshake Well, it would have worked, if it hadn't been for those meddling kids!
  17. Can you get Boulevard in Chicago? It's made in Kansas City, and their Pale Ale is very tasty.
  18. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 12:39 PM) So what I am hearing is that XM radio is really a good thing for us out of the Chicago TV area (except for WGN on cable)? I have considered buying me that there new fangled contraption to listen to Sox games. Please tell me it's the right thing to do if you want to hear all games during the season. I bought it last year and liked it alot. I got the portable one that you can use in your home, car, or on its own with a rechargable battery. I didn't even have to miss anything when I walked my dog. One cool thing about it is that it actually transmits a signal that you tune in on your radio. Last summer a group of us took a little road trip in 2 cars and the car following us was able to tune in the XM also. I didn't really use it that much after the baseball season ended, but you can subscribe monthly, so you don't have to pay for service if you're not using it.
