  1. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 10:07 AM) I miss the place. it has its own mystique. I miss working at Quatros, the free food was worth the s***ty ass tips. I really am gonna miss watching SIU elevate their sports programs. It was the best 7 years i spent wandering aimlessly. I spent about 7 years in Carbondale, and loved every minute of it. Such a fun, laid back town and just minutes from a beautiful national forest. Damn, I'm missing it more now. I'm going back for the Main Street Pig Out in about 2 1/2 weeks.
  2. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 11:25 PM) that has bob gibson style epic proportions written all over it Kirk?
  3. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 11:00 PM) Yeah, I like most of the players we got. But they aren't championship caliber. We are short one good hitter and it's because of the fact we didn't land a big enough bat in the offseason. Because we are always forced to accept less. Since when is Chicago a mid-market town? Or maybe we lost our DH with over 400 career HRs?
  4. I thought they would call up a few more, just to send some bodies to that make up game in Boston.
  5. You guys, please stop talking about this.
  6. QUOTE(daa84 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 10:22 AM) yep he was, and if i remember, i think it was nuke cleveland who had a sig with god commanding jermaine dye to rise from his grave and wake this O up. from what i remember it worked. maybe we should revert back to it? Jabroni
  7. You need to kick your little brother's ass.
  8. I will try to get to KC again, been to 3 games there this year so far.
  9. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 11:48 PM) Is douchebag a color?
  10. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) Just for the record: LF Pods (30yo) DH Durham (34yo) RF Giles (35yo) CF Rowand (28yo) 1B Overbay (29yo) 2B Iguchi (31) C AJP (29yo) 3B Mueller (35yo) SS Uribe (26) THAT is an old team. Oh yeah, I'm curious to find out which prospects you think are overrated? Is Uribe's age a different color for any reason?
  11. QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) Do it? Trade Buehrle or Garland or Garcia? I'd love to have Griffey in the line up. He's exactly what we need. But not for the cost of one of those three. No way in hell. Do you think it could ever even get to that? I don't think any of them would get through the waiver process.
  12. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:47 PM) I wasent the only one to see that I love your spelling too.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:39 PM) I love your grammer. I love your spelling.
  14. I don't think Frank would work out with Aaron all offseason if he was using steroids.
  15. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 02:25 AM) Am I crazy or do they look similar? Can both be true?
  16. QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 01:16 AM) Keep in mind that at best, Griffey coming to the Sox is a longshot. Griffey can turn it down. The Reds owner can turn it down. Any other team in baseball can prevent it from happening. OK, so what happens if a team claims him and then cannot work out a deal?
  17. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 10:43 AM) I think we have Blum's new nickname: The Chameleon. His entrance music can be that chama-chama-chama-chama-chama-chameleon song. I like it. Leonard Zelig is the origional chameleon. And I think you mean Karma Chameleon.
  18. Which helmet is he wearing on that statue?
  19. QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 02:18 PM) Um pardon me, but does this mean that our chance to get griffey is gone, or is it still possible we might aquire him? Yes
  20. If Reds management nixed the trade last week, why do you guys think it would go through in the future?
  21. ^^^ That is assuming that all the teams involved would be able to set their post season rotation, if there any kind of race at the end of the season, that will not be the case.
  22. Yes I was reading the last 10 post backwards.
