  1. What is that baseball diamond across the street?
  2. The thread was titled "Our New Banner", from April 1st. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...31584&hl=banner
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 02:08 PM) Boo XM! I have Sirius. You're just jealous.
  4. QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 06:35 AM) I know KC pretty well, having been there for games several times. If I were you, I'd get onto the KC Convention and Visitors Bureau website and stay in or near the Westport area, which is midtown ... in between downtown and The Plaza. Westport is the primary nightlife area in KC and there is plenty to do there during the day and after the games at night. Sox players frequent a great bar called Kelly's Westport Saloon, in the heart of Westport. There's a Holiday Inn Express in Westport and a few blocks north of Westport on Main Street (about 3800) there are a number of budget motels as well. The ballpark is on the far east side of the city, there are a few convention-type hotels out there but not much to do before or after the games. One place for eats on the way to the ballpark is a small BBQ joint called LC's BBQ, it's on Blue Parkway about 10 minutes from the ballpark. Hope this helps. Thanks Jim, I appreciate it.
  5. QUOTE(Credepopsup @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 07:52 AM) Since 2001 - 18 inter league games a year x4 years = 135??? I'm I missing something? I think I saw that we played the Twins 19 times last season.
  6. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 08:01 AM) Nothing personal. I actually do think my sarcastic side is coming to the surface. Should that be in green?
  7. Has Ozuna had any plays at short yet?
  8. The way I see it, Joe is what we have right now. Could we do improve? Yes, but you could say that about every position on the Sox. As long as Joe, or anybody else, is wearing a White Sox uniform, I am rooting for him.

    Sex in a Car

    This thread brings back some memories, it's probably been about ten years, but the cemetary near where I used to live was a favorite place of mine. Of course that all stopped when I got my own place.
  10. Maybe this is a little early, but since I live in St. Louis (and the Sox don't come here anymore) I'm going to catch the Sat. & Sun. games in KC. Anybody have any suggestions where a good place to stay is? I've never been there so I don't know the city at all. Since I won't really have time to do much else, I'd like to stay near the stadium, or maybe where the team stays, if anybody knows where that is. If the there are no places near the stadium, then maybe someplace near a "nightlife" area, as I do enjoy a tasty beer. Also if anybody else is going and would like to meet up that would be cool too, I will buy the first round. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you. Also, anybody know which side the visiting team sits in Kauffman?
  11. Seems silly to try to pick Cy Young or any other award like that after one week to me.
  12. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) How do you have Uribe hit? Wasn't it his spot?
  13. Well at least the Yankees & Red Sox are on 3 more times this week.
  14. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) WHAT WAS TORII YELLING AT AJ? I missed that when was it?
  15. Well according to Joe Morgan anything within 2 inches of the plate is a strike.
  16. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 08:04 PM) This guy is calling everything a f***ing strike. Not Mark's pitches.
  17. Not sure any team coulda beat Santana tonight. He is getting all the calls too.
  18. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 07:43 PM) Many would say the same about a lot of the stuff you post around here...But deny that all you want as well. Let's lay off the peronal insults and enjoy the game.
  19. Buehrle has been getting behind almost every batter.
  20. QUOTE(winodj @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 09:40 AM) First game I get to watch on the Television Machine this year. Me too. :headbang GO SOX!!!
  21. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:09 PM) I'm going to post this in here. What do you guys think if having a generic baseball only forum. I know the sports bar is where pretty much everything generic goes, but do you think it would be better to have a board soley dedicated to all non-White Sox baseball talk? If so we'll set one up. Tex suggested it and now we want to see what the members think. Isn't this it?
