  1. Hell, I thought this was about a creepy clown.
  2. Looks like they have been released, but those 3 won't play the game over there. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaabk/ucl...cid=mailsignout
  3. It was a long time ago, but Alomar spit on Hirschbeck in September and he got to play in the postseason. His suspension didn't begin until the next season.
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 22, 2017 -> 06:19 PM) Definitely has the makings for one of the better World Series in recent memory. I agree the edge goes to the Dodgers, but it's close. I think it comes down to Kershaw. If he can pitch well, I suspect the Dodgers win. If the Astros get to him, I think the Astros win. What makes a good World Series? 2 of the last 3 have gone 7 games. Both games 7s were one run games with the winning run at bat. Several of the other games in those series weren't close though. When the Sox won it, every game was close, 2 runs or less, but Houston didn't win a game.
  5. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 19, 2017 -> 08:29 PM) I hate Trump, but is Dotard really necessary? Not too mention super hypocritical. No, it is not necessary, but it is how he is viewed by the leader of another country. Feel free to edit, delete, or whatever is appropriate.
  6. Tomorrow marks 9 months of President Dotard J. Trump. Not quite 1/5 of his term.
  7. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 4, 2017 -> 04:30 PM) White House Aides Wanted Rex Tillerson to Resign for Calling Trump a ‘f***ing Moron’ So Moronghazi absolutely happened. And: f*** filter makes your link no good
  8. This Tatis guy is going to have to hit at least 3 grand slams in one inning to really impress me.
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 2, 2017 -> 03:03 PM) R.I.P. Only Jeff Lynne remains from the Traveling Wilburys. Bob Dylan is still around.
  10. Jose Abreu, the poster, not the player stated that it doesn't matter how many bases you steal, but how many times you get caught stealing. My point was that it the ratio that matters. That both numbers factor in to it. Sorry if my point did not get across.
  11. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 25, 2017 -> 11:29 AM) Can you link to the number of guys who have stolen 200 at 90% success? No, but I bet they were not hurting their team.
  12. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 25, 2017 -> 10:45 AM) It's not about how many bases you steal, it's about how often you're caught stealing. You can steal 40 bases all you want, but if you're caught 20 times, you're hurting the team. If you get caught 20 times and you steal 200, are you still hurting the team?
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 24, 2017 -> 01:23 PM) The St. Louis police have definitely been aggressive (some might say out of control) any time the protests have become violent at all. If they hear glass breaking, look out, they attack. Yesterday at the mall some folks started throwing garbage cans and all hell broke loose. Say what you want but they are kicking ass when ANY violence begins. Of course I am against them attacking innocent bystanders. I hope those people sue the police department and I hope they win. It's pretty unfortunate (could happen to any of us) that u get maced and beat and arrested when you are merely in the neighborhood you live in headed to the coffee shop. Problem is like I said when the destruction of protestors begins, they announce that it's time to leave, and if people don't immediately leave ... there's some head knocking going on. They even arrested (later released with no charges) a 13 year old and his granny (charges stuck on her I think). I'm not sure if people realize that there are really 2 separate main police departments involved here. St. Louis City is not in St. Louis County, so there is a city PD and a county PD, in addition to the suburban towns' PD. The Galleria mall is in the county.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 23, 2017 -> 03:01 PM) First and foremost, I don't think Rick would be publicly speculating on moving him if he didn't think the offers were close to his asking price for that player, so I think Avi probably is movable for a fair return. With that in mind, I would say move him. We have the nightmare of all pitchers coming up next year to take over RF. With that and all the other corner OF types in our organization who could be decent, move him, take the return, add a tiny bit more to a loaded system, and play guys like Cordell and Delmonico in the first half of the season until that thing, whatever it is, takes over RF around mid season. If all our other OF types bust...it isn't that expensive to pick up corner OFs who can play defense and hit 7th or 8th. Look how little teams had to pay this year for Martinez and Cabreroid. What did Hahn say?
  15. What is the tie-breaker for draft position?
  16. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Sep 2, 2017 -> 12:03 PM) If I am not mistaken, standings are based on winning %, not just team wins. Soo....yes, I will continue to count both, as both as needed to determine standings, and thus draft order. Standings are not based on winning %. A team that is 10-0 has the same winning % as a team that is 8-0, but one team is a game behind in the standing.
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 28, 2017 -> 12:48 PM) I was thinking of going with a cheaper model. It's something I have always wanted to try so feel I would stick with it. Any recommended models? Music Source is near you and carries the Breedlove Discovery Dreadought. That is a very solid beginner guitar for $300. If you are taking lessons outside your home, you will definitely want to get a case for it too.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 28, 2017 -> 11:18 AM) Anyone play acoustic guitar? Sort of interested in picking it up as a hobby and taking beginning lessons. Good model? Price? etc To me the main thing when beginning is that the guitar has to be comfortable to play. It is going to hurt your fingertips until you get good calluses built up. The less it hurts, the less likely you are to put it down. You want a guitar with low action - meaning the strings are not too high off the neck. Also, putting light strings on it will make it easier to hold them down. When you start playing, you are going to suck, it's inevitable and everybody does. If you think this may discourage you and you won't want to keep playing, get something cheap. If you think you will stick with it through the sucking you may want to get something nicer because you will want to upgrade sometime down the road anyway.
  19. QUOTE (JPR @ Aug 19, 2017 -> 12:34 AM) I find it funny that people were calling this young baller slow just a few days ago then he goes and done did hit an inside the park homer Paul Konerko hit an inside the park home run too.
  20. Has there been an update on Lopez somewhere that I missed?
