  1. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 1, 2015 -> 02:43 PM) not to get all political, but it's so strange to see how much rain the rest of the country is getting meanwhile people are digging up their lawns here in socal because of the drought. If we can build an oil pipeline, can't we build a water one too? Okay, back to baseball. Can anybody get rich from it? If not, the answer is no.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 1, 2015 -> 01:50 PM) City Museum in St. Louis is just about the coolest place on earth It is pretty amazing. I have never seen anything like it.
  3. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 1, 2015 -> 12:26 AM) Did you see me with my 1983 Frank Thomas jersey? I don't know but I saw myself on the replays of Flowers' home run.
  4. Fun game. The first 2 Sox fans I saw had a Leury Garcia jersey and a Dan Jennings t shirt jersey.
  5. If anybody is going for drinks before the game, I would recommend Flying Saucer over Ballpark Village. 900 Spruce, about 1 block west of the stadium.
  6. I got bleacher seats for $20. Also going with Cardinal fan buddies.
  7. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 28, 2015 -> 01:38 PM) Whoa, pretty cool moment by the Sox booth Details?
  8. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 27, 2015 -> 11:51 PM) Yep, I will be at both games probably when the gates open Going to both also. Probably not that early. We will meet up in Soulard for a few drinks and take a shuttle. They are giving away a replica 1982 World Series trophy on Tuesday. I've read that visiting teams' BP starts about 90 minutes before game time.
  9. I believe Sale & Quintana are scheduled to start. Anybody going?
  10. They said the Sox may or may not be blown up. Also, poop.
  11. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 10:21 AM) Sale and the Royals. They will probably all beat him up in the clubhouse.
  12. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 01:48 AM) And the 2010 team didn't make the playoffs. And in 2011, they had the 23rd pick, and forfeited it to sign Adam Dunn. Had that 2010 team gone just 14-16 over that stretch, they would have had the 10 pick in the draft (protected pick, which means they keep it when they sign Dunn), and could have chosen from the likes of George Springer, Jose Fernandez, and Sonny Gray, all who were in that range. So thanks for helping prove my point. If they aren't going to make the playoffs, I want the best draft pick possible to be able to avoid situations like 2010 where instead of potentially having one of the best young players in baseball, they give up a pick for a free agent like Adam Dunn. LOL. Joe, at no time in this thread did you make a point.
  13. On June 9 2010, the Sox were 25-33, 8 games under .500 same as now. They then went on a 25-5 run to get to 50-38. I know people will say that this team doesn't have that in them, but they would have said the same thing about the 2010 team. I'm not saying I'm expecting it but I'm not going to start looking forward to draft position.
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 17, 2015 -> 02:43 PM) I was there as well. Floor center row 2. Pretty sweet. How many shows are you catching this tour?
  15. That looked like a play from my softball league.
  16. We should have got that Josh Fields instead.
  17. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:27 PM) Is Hawk dying or something. WTF is with that voice? We're all dying.
