QUOTE(go-sox05 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 07:47 AM) so im guessing he probably isnt into gay dinosaurs. He's a strange strange man.

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) should be interesting to see where he ends up, giants would be a real good suitor even though their playoff hopes are low, braves could use a spark in the offense, astros could be a fit hes hitting good as you see in his avg, he just wasnt in his proper role, and with baldelli returning its hard to put him somewhere Wherever he goes, the GM will prepare the same tired Milton Bradley speech about how good of a guy he is and it wasn't his fault, everybody deserves another chance, he's changed, blah, blah, blah... The bottom line is, he's a good hitter and he'll get picked up.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 10:26 AM) I'm pretty sure that Canseco's career of injuries started when he actually did come out of the bullpen to pitch an inning. Yeah, and his head was never right after that homerun ball went off of it.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 06:32 AM) Send this information to Ozzie He should be aware of this, but I think he was just playing the righty-lefty matchup as usual.

QUOTE(Sox1422 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 08:06 AM) He has not written a column since last wednesday. Anyone know what the story is? Is he on vacation or something? I don't think we are that lucky, I'm sure we would of heard by now. But, one can dream.

Jimmy Rollins gets $40 million extension
shakes replied to southsider2k5's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 09:59 AM) And my Phillies fan friends will be jumping off a ledge soon... $8million/year for Rollins?1? What was Orlando Cabrera's contract for? I think Rollins is better than him. -
QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) Best story in baseball this year. Nick Johnson has been all-world and of course Patterson has been awesome. Anyone pitch with as much heart as Livan? Definitely moved into my top five favorite teams Nick Johnson is turning into one of my favorite players.

QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) Not until we win the series will the tables turn....... It's wishful thinking.
-
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 10:12 AM) quick jab at the cubs? from a national media outlet? whaaaaaaa? Maybe, the tables are turning.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-g...ov=ap&type=lgns You didn't really expect him to admit to it.

Good article. They left out El Duque almost getting decapitated by a foul ball while on third.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:46 PM) You've done an admirable job stating the other side of the arguement seeing how the guy who started the thread gave up after 1 post. Agreed

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 10:27 AM) I believe A-row had about that many if not less when they brought him up for the first time, did you think he needed more time at the minor league level? In 2002 it looked like Aaron needed more time.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) Everett sounds like he's trying out to become a member of the Cubs. His theories seem like they fit perfectly with Dusty's style. I think you may be on to something.
-
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 03:34 PM) When Healthy PK plays about 155 games a year lets say. So you are calling for a trade so we can have someone play 7 games!!!! I'm not calling for a trade, but many people seem to be. I'm saying for the few games a year PK needs off, why can't Crede move over?
-
Can't Crede spell PK at first occasionally. At least, until we find a backup. It's a fairly smooth transition from 3rd to 1st. Or is it too much since he's our third string SS.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) At least you Polanco-enthusiasts will get to see your collective man-crush 10+ times a season. I'm just glad some of the Polanco talk can be put to rest. I just remember how many threads there was regarding him in the offseason.
-
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 07:49 AM) This is the weakest excuse for losing of all time. If teams are watching the Cubs in the afternoon preparing for them, then couldn't the Cubs watch their opponents at night when their game is over? I believe this argument would completely negate Dusty's, but that is logical thinking. When Dusty makes excuses, he is anything but logical.

QUOTE(JuiceCruz16 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 08:48 AM) Good play by Erstad, the Braves were pissed because they beleived Erstad had room to slide , as Estrada was not blocking his path, but it was a close enough play that Erstad had to make his decision and go with it. Hope Estrada is not badly hurt, but it is part of the game. A couple of Braves, including the ex-football player Brian Jordan, had a problem with him going in so high. I have to agree a bit. You are taught to go after the glove, not the head.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) Here are a few players that I think will be left out unfortunatley. Miguel Cabrera Bobby Abreu Two of the best in the game. The All-Star game has become a joke. I can't believe World Series homefield advantage is decided by this travesty. I would go on a rant about how stupid that is, but I'm sure it has been done here 100 times and I just don't have the energy.

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 10:08 AM) You are wrong. Al Gore invented the internet. Classic.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 09:41 AM) I think tonight will be a tough one as Hernandez gets hit up for at least 4 runs. I just hope we can finally get to Westbrook, we've made him look like an all-star so far this year.

Have the Sox played in SD or Colorado before? I'm looking forward to watching these games. I just hope we miss Peavy. (Just trying to distract from talking about you know who)
