  1. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 11:59 AM) Should be good then, I'd love to hear Mariotti vs. Kenny. Are they going to be on the same time?
  2. QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 06:22 AM) From the artist's sketch it looks like an open-air stadium, no roof. I hope the Twins like spending every April on the road. Maybe they can get that killer West Coast road trip to start their season off on the wrong foot? That'd be nice..... I would rather see an open air stadium. There weather is similar to Detroit and they seem to be managing. There will certainly be some cold April days.
  3. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:39 AM) That's why I said Ozzie should rest PK. Let Gload play 1B. PK is a good fastball hitter, I'd like to see him in the lineup. Harden has been lights out, but I don't want to treat him like Cy Young just yet. We have enough lefties IMHO.
  4. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) PK is known for his 3-2 pop-up and the "let the bat go behind your shoulder" throw... PK tossed his bat pretty good yesterday. He ran after the bat so no one tripped over it.
  5. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) In their little 3 up and 3 down segment Kruk makes the following excuse as to why Nomar Garciaparra is struggling. ".....well he moved up north last season and the cold is bothering him......" I'm sorry IDIOT but didn't he play the rest of his career in BOSTON?! I heard it is pretty cold there in springtime too. :rolly I'm pretty sure Boston is north of Chicago. Dusty blamed Nomar's struggles on his allergies. This gets better by the minute.
  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) Is a moron. He's on Dan Patrick right now.. s***ting on Jose again.. defending Mark. :rolly Steff, do you still listed to DP regularly? I can't take it without Dibble or a co-host. He's too serious now. I used to love the light heartedness of that show.
  7. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) Dont forget Crede.... I think he was involved in a couple of those double plays. Crede had a great defensive game yesterday.
  8. QUOTE(Heartattack19 @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 12:35 PM) I lost respect for Rome when he kept calling Jim Everret "Chris Everret". That was a huge low blow. Everret dared him to say it again, Rome did,and Everett took him out! That should be on ESPN classic. If you remember, he dissapeared from ESPN for a couple years after that.
  9. They do a good job of discussing teams, outside of the typical ESPN bias, on that show. Plus, Greeny loves Chicago teams and not just the chubs. Phillips was blasting the Sox for their offseason moves, this preseason. Just like he blasted the Dodgers and is giving them all the props in the world.
  10. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 10:04 AM) [ I almost peed myself!!
  11. QUOTE(103 mph screwball @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) How about instead of 1/2 price for drunk idiots, buy one adult ticket and get a kid ticket for free. Didn't the Sox used to have some kind of kid's day promotion. I never paid attention before, but now I have kids. I'm not a prude. I've had more than my share of beer. But there has to be Security. One of purposes of discount nights is to attract someone curious who might not pay full price. Then hopefully that person becomes a die hard fan with www.soxtalk.com as his homepage. I don't think the purpose is to bring in scrub fans with nothing to do to root against us. It is usually on Sundays, I believe $1 kids day. Great promotion. I'm not sure if they have any planned this year. Anyone?
  12. QUOTE(gettysburg32 @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:36 AM) Was it the same guy that had the "DRINK BEER" sign? I was wondering if anyone else saw that.
  13. QUOTE(quickman @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) or an architect or an architect named Art Vandelay.
  14. White Sox baseball, win or get ripped at Soxtalk.com. Unless your Joe Crede, then it's win and still getted ripped at Soxtalk.com.
  15. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 02:48 PM) White Sox Baseball 2005: Hogies or Grinders?
  16. I agree he looks uncomfortable, I just think it's too early to say he's finished.
  17. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) Jermaine may just not be that good anymore... His three year splits are BAD, but obviously those are effected by injurys. Still he's .240/.306/.429 vs. RHP since 2002, that's not the line of somebody who I'd like hitting behind Konerko. He has 31 at bats. I think we're overreacting. He is in a new environment. New team, new coaching staff, new fans. Let's give him a chance before we start jumping on him like he is Joe Crede. You know there are guys that like to hit in warm weather. Outside of the dome, we have played in some cold weather. We have also faced some fairly good pitching. I think we need to relax.
  18. I think it will be a max, because someboday in the league will offer it to him. The Bulls will have to decide if they want to match.
  19. Mike Mulligan of the Sun Times said Miami is looking at a QB and also likes Braylon Edwards. I still think they trade this pick.
  20. I've seen them at White Hen, 7-11, and several gas stations on the ss and south suburbs.
  21. QUOTE(valponick @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) "well I'll tell ya this guy....he's the original deuce of clubs...." Pardon my ignorance, but what does that mean?
  22. We definitely need Pods and Igughi to start getting on to score some runs. I know it will take a little time, new league and new country.
  23. I haven't read one of his articles for six months and if your a Sox fan I suggest you do the same. He just repeats the same thing about every team year in and year our. Plug in a few new names. I'll guarantee he will contradict everything he said, outside of bashing Reinsdorf, within the next two months. He's as predictable as a Dusty Baker interview.
