QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 08:18 AM)who starts tonight for charlotte? Fulmer or giolito?
Fulmer for Charlotte
Adams for Birmingham
Thompson for W-S
Hansen for Kannapolis

In Sale's last 10 starts, 9 have been quality starts, and the team is 2-8 in those games with wins over Oakland and Kansas City. I haven't had the stomach to watch this team with regularity in over a month. They need to be sellers this offseason and commit to a rebuild. The good news is that they can contend in short order if the front office makes the right moves. I think they should sell, and I think they will sell.

Trey was 2-4, 3B, HR, 3 RBI and he played SS tonight for just the 6th time in his pro career.

Birmingham has the night off. Tonight's scheduled starters are:
AAA Volstad (facing off against former White Sox prospect Kanekoa Texeira)
A+ Leyer
A Easterling
R Hansen
Hansen is 2-0 with 1.75 ERA in 5 starts for Great Falls. He has walked 6 and struck out 42 in 25.2 innings while limiting the opposition to a .129 average.

Zangari 2-3, 2 HRs
Collins 0-3
Robbins 3-4
Huge day for Alvarez as Feeky said. Great to see.
Charlotte's OF defense has to be impressive with Engel in LF, May in CF, and Bourgeois in RF. Those guys can really cover some ground.

Rodon was a little rusty for Charlotte.
Mason Robbins hits everything in sight.
Lowry, Easterling and Comito all pitched very well.

Collins: 0-4, 2K
Call: 2-5, 2 2B
James Dykstra: 7IP, 3H, 0ER, 8K
Engel: 2-4
Schnurbusch: 2-3, BB, 2SB (avg .380 with an OPS over 1.000)
-
Fantastic outing for Ranaudo: 8IP, 3H, 0ER, 1BB, 4K.
Guerrero: 6IP, 4H, 0ER, 2BB, 5K.
Courtney Hawkins is hitting .209 with a .600 OPS as a 22 year old in AA. I'm not going to say he's done, but that's certainly not encouraging.
AZL Sox had four triples tonight in Game 1 of their double header. Nunez, Curbello, Remillard and Reyes all tripled.
-
Engel 2-5, 3B.
Eddy Alvarez 2-4.
Hunter Jones (CF for the Dash) was 4-5.
Great Falls is being no-hit through 6 innings.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 11, 2016 -> 10:11 AM)I'd imagine Hansen will be in Kanny soon
Kim Contreras said that his numbers are better than his stuff right now and that the level of competition in the AZL is poor. I would think he will be in Kanny soon as well.

Engel appears a bit overmatched at the dish. He's just 2-30 with 12 Ks.
Mason Robbins is hitting AA pitching well. I hope he can develop more power to his game because I think only then will he be considered a legitimate prospect. The hit tool appears to be there though.
I know he threw yesterday but Dunning needs a more challenging assignment. I'm sure a promotion isn't far away for him.
