  1. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160709 Great Falls' offense is clicking. Schnurbusch is having another big night. Engel and Alvarez are having nice games for Birmingham.
  2. Collins 0-3, 2K. Schnurbusch 3-4, 2 2B, HR Ranaudo lit up in a rain shortened game. Allowed 4 HRs in 5 innings. Morneau 0-2 Engel 3-5, 2 2B Trey 2-4, HR, BB
  3. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160708 Listed starters are: AAA Ranaudo AA Dykstra A+ Lowry A Beatty R Comito Charlotte is facing Gwinnett starter Chris Ellis tonight. He was having a nice season in AA, but has struggled mightily since being promoted to AAA. I'd love to see Morneau have a big game against him and show that he's still got something in the tank.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 03:58 PM) Isn't he a senior? I can't see him not signing. He sure is. Good call.
  5. Zach Remillard is one of only ten players drafted in the first ten rounds who hasn't signed according to SB Nation. I understand he was playing in the CWS and may need a break, but I really hope they sign him. He seems like a very well rounded player.
  6. Another big night for Alex Call who reached base 4 out of 5 plate appearances and homered. He's about due for a promotion.
  7. Jordan Stephens is having a terrific start for the Dash.
  8. http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS&date=2016-07-03 Raunado had a weird night: 8Ks, but 8 hits allowed in 5 innings and 3ER. Mason Robins, RF for the Dash went 4-5. Adolfo went 2-4 with 2K. Burdi pitched a perfect inning.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 10:50 PM) When's the last time the White Sox brought up an outfielder from AA to the big leagues? It's been a long time, wracking my brain for any recent examples. Seems they prefer their position players to progress through both BIRM and Charlotte. Beckham is the last position player that really flew up through the system. May is playing in Charlotte now.
  10. http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS&date=2016-07-02 Jacob May doubled twice for Charlotte. You'd have to think they're keeping a close eye on him with OF depth being so thin at the moment. Adolfo had a three hit night including a homer.
  11. http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS&date=2016-07-01 Fulmer had a very nice start. 7IP, 0ER, 3H, 4BB. Five players homered for the Dash. Call and Fisher continue to hit for the Voyagers.
  12. It's nice to see Call and Fisher both hitting well out of the gate. Fisher also added his second SB. I didn't realize he was base stealing threat. The SP for Great Falls, Panayotovich is a local product. He attended Mount Carmel HS and then St. Francis University. Good luck to him on a successful professional career.
  13. 1) Collins - C 2) Fulmer - RHP 3) Adams - RHP 4) Burdi - RHP 5) Hansen - RHP 6) Guerrero - LHP 7) Michalczewski - 3B 8) Adolfo - OF 9) Call - OF 10) Curbelo - INF I have Collins and Fulmer interchangeable at the top. I wasn't too high on the system prior to the draft so I have a lot of new faces on my list. I'd put Hawkins, Engel, Fisher, Danish and Zangari just outside of the top ten.
  14. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 12:40 PM) How does this myth keep going that Sox fans won't tolerate a rebuild? That seems to be the rationale for whatever-the-f*** this approach has been for years now--oh, no! We can't clean house and rebuild or Sox fans will stop coming forever! Huh? I would go. I would rather see some promising youngsters lose with some effort rather than the corpseball we've been fed for damn near a decade. Didn't the Cubs basically rebuild? Not just on the field but in the front office? How's that working out for them now? I'm tired of hearing that supposed reason as a rationale not to do it. I too would love a full rebuild. The plan in place is going so poorly that the White Sox (with the front office "going for it") are about to draft a player in the top 10 for the 3rd consecutive year.
  15. The mocks are really all over the place. This one has the White Sox taking Moniak with Rutherford still on the board. Most mock drafts have both of these guys taken fairly early in the top ten. I've even seen Moniak projected 1.1 in at least one mock. Who knows at this point? MyMLBDraft
  16. I'm starting to wonder if Jason Bourgeois could be helpful at the major league level (maybe replacing Shuck?). Since he was acquired, he's hit everything in sight. .474/.531/.702/1.233 in 15 games with Charlotte.
  17. Kahnle was sent back to Charlotte after tonight's game per Bruce Levine. Another move is coming Saturday.

  19. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 02:10 PM) Wow Hudson looks like s***. He doesn't have an out pitch it looks like. Don't draft him please. Also, SEMO!!! Neither pitcher looks good, but Hudson... ouch. He's not doing himself any favors by pitching this poorly right before the draft.
  20. Jim Callis has the White Sox selecting Corey Ray at 10. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/181759132/ml...lewis-are-top-3
  21. QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 2, 2016 -> 11:57 AM) I actually make this mistake ALL the time and have no idea why. Is it a mixture of Carlos Santana and Jose Quintana? I really have no idea why I keep doing it. I'm sure it's a combination of Carlos Quentin and Jose Quintana. That Q will get you.
  22. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 28, 2016 -> 09:25 AM) After this season, I would not be surprised if we rank just ahead of the Angels in many publications' rankings. I would agree with you, but the White Sox do have three picks in the top 50 this year. In theory, the farm should get a nice jolt in a couple of weeks. I know what you're saying though; the suspects far outweigh the prospects. My fingers are crossed that this year's draft bears some fruit because this organization needs some new faces.
  23. This morning on Mully and Hanley, John Heyman said he expects the Lincecum signing to happen soon, possibly even today. He said he's hearing the White Sox and Angels have interest in letting him start while SF has only offered him a relief pitching role.
  24. Adam Engel has apparently been demoted to A+ after a short stint in AA to start the year. He hit .170 in 100 ABs in 26 games for the Barons.
