I truly don’t get the mindset of giving out the biggest contract in franchise history only to turnaround and trade your best reliever. I’m hopeful this signals that they are going for it (at least in White Sox terms) and that more move are coming to improve the team, not hurt it.

At these rates the White Sox may never sign a player ever again.

I wonder what it feels like to be a fan of a team that conducts real, serious managerial searches.
To be fair, we have no information that they are not conducing a full search. I get not giving them the benefit of the doubt, but it seems like no one really knows anything yet.

Where did this Getz stuff come from? Were there any reports on this? Why is everyone making it sound like its a done deal? Did I miss something?

Any chance this Ozzie interview is just fan service? That’s the vibes I get it from this. Espada is their guy, but look, we interviewed all your old favorites as part of a very extensive search.

Yeah this is an official source saying they're not nearly done yet. This is them casually shooting down the rumor.
Or putting something out there to help with tampering issues? ?♂️

Wow. They are really going to just stand pat...

Vuc is Grandal.
Vuc is 10x better than Grandal, but I get your point.

They are cheap? Were in the Chicago market and haven't given out a contract larger than 73 Million
Royals, White Sox, Athletics, Pirates... the only teams in baseball to not exceed a 100 million dollar deal.. pathetic
Not to defend ownership because they don't deserve it at all. But the Sox have a top 10 payroll. The Guardians consistently have a bottom 10 payroll. They just use it waaaaay more efficiently than our management does.

Need to go 5-3 at a minimum this week.

The last 8 games before All Star break may set the tone for the second half.
Putting out this anonymous Tweet just before this critical stretch of games or promoting it is really questionable.
The Sox aren't better on paper than the Guardians or the Twins, so I am not sure that changing the Manager will alter that equation.
Easy fixes often fail.
On paper, they absolutely are. On the field...

Looking at these matchups, this might be the best opportunity of the season to get a 4-game sweep and a legit winning streak going... so here comes a 2-2 split!

LOL Gio totally bailed him out.

Yeah Ruiz has nothing. Good call TLR.

I seriously don't get how RH manages the IL. If a guy can't play, put him on the IL and get bodies on this roster!

I don’t mind it.
Yeah, about as good as one can expect after last night.

No way it happens, but I would do that 2nd trade in a heartbeat: Moncada, Cespedes and Vera. Done.
-
Yoan and Leury as your 5-6 hitters is less than ideal.

This offense struggles so much with consistency and we want to trade the one guy who is consistent every year...

I wonder if something is up with Pollock or if the struggling hitters are finally starting to get dropped in the lineup/lose playing time.
But hasn't Pollock been decent the last few weeks when he actually plays?
-
Is Pollock hurt?
-
Assuming full health, Anderson, Vaugh, Robert, Abreu, Eloy, Grandal, Pollock, Moncada and Burger (in some order) should be the most common lineup with Garcia, Medick and Engel playing utility roles.
Sheet and Harrison have to go.

When is Cueto going to be ready?

Graveman is nasty.
Tim Anderson signs with MIA, 1Y/5M

Easily my favorite White Sox post the World Series team.
