  1. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 11:03 AM) He answered your question. He never claimed YOU were not a fan. It would appear that most fans don't care. Im on that side. That is all.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 10:14 AM) Fans of the Chicago White Sox. Why? I'm not a fan because I dont care who wears number 22 between Josh Fields and Scott Pods??? Its a number between two players who really haven't earned the right to claim a number. Pods had a great 05, but so did Neil Cotts. Would he deserve his number back? I think the whole jersey number thing gets blown way out of proportion. Chances are Pods will wear whatever jersey they give him for a chance to play in the majors again. Its Fields number, end of story in my opinion.
  3. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 01:41 PM) #8: Albert Bell over Bo Jackson... oh the memories of Bo. But the right choice. #12: AJ ("Steve Lyons likely lost crucial votes by dropping his drawers in Detroit. " ) #23: Robin Ventura - No doubt on that, even with JD. Robin was the man) #45: Carlos Lee over Bobby Jenks? I dont think so. All good choices except #45, IMO. Other than that, it kinda makes we cry when you look at recent "one year wonders" who are now the best to have worn the number. Shows how BAD this franchise was for a period of time. I am a huge Robin fan myself and I know some people would freak out about this, but despite Robin's 10 good years with the Sox, their might be an argument to be made that JD has put up better numbers and has been more valuable to the Sox during his time.
  4. The Nats don't want to trade Milledge. Obviously for the right price they would, but I have been hearing this is more an attempt at a wake up calll for Lastings to get his act together.
  5. I read it as well in Sunday's Sun-Times. It was done before the Culter trade. I was surprised to see Buehrle as Chicago's favorite athlete. I agree he will slip soon, maybe even to 4th. I think Rose, Cutler and Forte will be the top 3 after the Bears season this year. Toews might flirt with the top 5 as well.
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 03:02 PM) He's still looking for his first hit of the season. I wish, and I know it will not happen, they call up Beckham and moved Ramirez to CF. That would be a dream scenario for me as well, but you are right... not gonna happen.
  7. Man i am really impressed with fields defensively so far!
  8. QUOTE (earthshiner @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 02:58 PM) dear god I hope that wise's injury does not mean the return of owens hopefully kroger. Nice Matt!
  9. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 02:56 PM) BTW, the Knights pitching has been awful so far: Individual Stats (Pitching) (click column headers to sort) Player W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV IP H R ER HR HB BB SO WHIP HLD GF Wes Whisler 1 0 4.50 1 1 0 0 0 6.0 9 3 3 0 0 1 2 1.67 0 0 Lance Broadway 0 1 5.40 1 1 0 0 0 5.0 5 4 3 1 1 2 4 1.40 0 0 John Van Benschoten 0 1 5.40 1 1 0 0 0 5.0 2 3 3 1 1 2 6 0.80 0 0 Adam Russell 0 0 0.00 2 0 0 0 1 4.0 0 0 0 0 1 0 5 0.00 0 1 Jack Egbert 0 0 10.12 2 0 0 0 0 2.2 4 3 3 1 0 1 3 1.88 0 1 Kelvin Jimenez 0 0 15.43 1 0 0 0 0 2.1 4 4 4 1 1 2 2 2.57 0 0 Jon Link 0 0 7.71 2 0 0 0 0 2.1 1 2 2 0 0 2 5 1.29 0 1 Randy Williams 0 0 4.50 2 0 0 0 0 2.0 2 1 1 0 0 0 1 1.00 0 1 Ehren Wassermann 0 0 18.00 1 0 0 0 0 2.0 6 5 4 0 0 1 2 3.50 0 0 Jeffrey Marquez 0 1 32.40 1 1 0 0 0 1.2 6 6 6 0 0 1 0 4.20 0 0 Jimmy Gobble 0 0 36.00 1 0 0 0 0 1.0 3 4 4 0 0 2 2 5.00 0 Although the sample size is small, outside of Russell, everyone else has been below average to horrid. That is really bad. Yikes.
  10. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 02:55 PM) Where the hell were CQ and BA on that one? Farmer said they were playing him to go to right field.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 02:35 PM) And what's the sample size for Carrasco's struggles? A bad career outside of last season's fluke.
  12. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 02:29 PM) did you get the feeling the Sox were a bit disappointed in Marquez this spring? very much so. i think they really wanted to give him a spot in the pen and they just couldnt do it with how he pitched. Kind of like Jerry Owens in center.
  13. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 02:27 PM) Whats the wae3ther like in Chicago today? crappy. cold and rainy.
  14. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 02:26 PM) Given that we have two iffy pitchers at the back end of our rotation right now, and having a couple guys who can throw multiple innings is a good idea, who in our organization would you rather have up here? I would take Egbert for sure and maybe even Marquez over him.
  15. carrasco has no business being on this team... period.
