  1. wow. thought that was gone for sure.
  2. that sucks, but how funny was CQ's f' bomb and then the slow motion of it. hahah.
  3. that should not have been an error btw.
  4. i swear navarro is up every inning.
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 11:45 PM) Good play there by Sherrill. BTW- with whoever said they should expand the rosters, I totally agree. Add 2 or 3 more pitchers to each team and 2 or 3 more position players. they should keep the rosters the same, but not have guys who pitch on saturday or sunday on the actual roster. they can be there and be recognized as all-stars, but if they cant pitch, they shouldn't be on the actual roster. on a side note, think francona is quickly regretting taking so many bullpen pitchers.
  6. bring in gavin or danks next inning.... oh wait.
  7. JD would have already had this run in the first time. stupid voting.
  8. Alright. CQ to score the winning run!
  9. grady is going to win this thing and reap no benefit. haha.
  10. QUOTE (Harvin4Heisman @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 01:54 PM) This is almost impossible. Do you guys remember what it took to get Swisher? MacDougal? It would take more than that COMBINED to get a Cy Young candidate mid-season!!!!!!! I'm not saying it can't happen, but sometimes we overrate our prospects, and when you have the worst farm system in all of baseball, you just can't trade everything you have left. It's like suicide for the next 5 years. JD is only under contract for a couple of years, PK is falling off the face of the earth, Crede/Thome/OC will be gone next year. And Javy and Contreras will be gone in two years. You have to think about the future also, not just the present. If we through all of our prospects into this deal, we will be lauding KW now but ripping him in the future. All I'm saying is we simply don't have the bullets to win now and not throw away our future. i agree that we often over value our prospects, but to say we will not re-sign any of those guys might be a bit much. thome will probably be here next year, assuming he turns it around, javy i think will be re-signed as well. if fields is traded you never know what the sox might do to keep crede.
  11. god no. i love freddy for 2005, but he is done.
  12. No way sosa deserves to be on the roster over dye. only played two full seasons with the sox and never had more than 70 RBI.
  13. hey i know 670 is pretty powerful, but anyone know how far north it goes. gotta drive to minneapolis tonight.
  14. how did they get an inside the park home run? someone dive for the ball?
  15. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jul 10, 2008 -> 08:18 AM) Texas has been playing well as of late. But, they have a horrendous (starting) pitching staff - with that said, I think they have three rookies pitching for them now, so the Sox won't be able to hit s***, we all know how that story ends usually when we face someone we haven't seen before... if we can finish this road trip winning 5 of 6 i will be very very happy! especially while the tigers and twins beat up on each other.
  16. i love it! anyone know of any other obscure sox shirts and where to get them?
  17. QUOTE (ChiSox35 @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 09:51 PM) Get used to it. I dread the next Tiger/Sox series everytime I lie my head down on the pillow. 2 out! As long at the Tigers are throwing that staff against us, i think we will be alright.
  18. Wow Dotel!!! That is how you close games Linebrink!
  19. wait? the tigers came back and won? well that sucks...
  20. QUOTE (joeynach @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 09:42 PM) Look sometimes boys will be boys. Boys will argue and fight and get into it, these things happen over 162 games, period. The point is for the teammates and coaches to settle it, says its over, move on, and get back to work. who cares? unless this becomes a big issue, and i dont think it will, everyone should be talking about our two big comeback wins and 3.5 game lead (assuming we hold on)
