  1. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 07:58 PM) I can't believe how hard I'm rooting for Texas. And I really hate Texas. There's no way they can win if they keep looking like this. That's what I'm saying. Only one who isn't playing like he's afraid is VYoung.
  2. C'mon now Texas. Time to reach for your balls and show USC you have a pair.
  3. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 07:45 PM) Could have been an easy 6 there. USC seems to be missing their spots. Texas' backs are getting beaten.
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 07:43 PM) Worst possible start for Texas. :puke I predicted this too. Fast start for USC and Texas will come back in the 2nd half, but it'll be too little too late.
  5. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 07:39 PM) USC is so damn good. But their D will be suspect with how well Texas spreads their receivers. Texas' O-Line failed there. They must have a lot of confidence in their defense.
  6. And one mistake is soooooo big right now. Can't do that against SC.
  7. 42-31 USC. With that said, LET'S f***ING MAN UP LONGHORNS!!!!!
  8. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 07:22 PM) Exactly. How many World Titles has Beane gotten for Oakland as GM....? Oh, that's right. None. Moneyball says the Oakland A's should have been perrenial champions since 2000.
  9. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 12:00 AM) Hooray! Penn State wins the game in OT x 3. You can't hate Joe Pa; I hope they're in contention next year. They're losing something like 16 senior starters so I don't see them being in contention next year anymore than a Northwestern Univ.
  10. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 07:33 PM) All the "experts" are saying that Leinart would pull an Elway/Manning and refuse to play for New Orleans if they selected him, so it is possible he could go to TEN, NYJ, OAK, or BUF. I wonder what will be left for the Bears to pick at #32? I don't know if that will happen, but I think NO is going to go with AJ Hawk anyway and trading down while at it.
  11. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 02:52 PM) It appears Scott and I are on the same page once again. Scott's newest mock LINK Why do so many people have Vince Young in their mocks? Everything out of the horses' mouth has said he would stay at Texas for one more year.
  12. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 02:56 AM) Right now the Cowboys have needs at RT, G, C, LB and FS. Unless there's a good veteran RT out there in FA to be had, I'd expect the Boys to really have a long look at someone like Winston Justice, Marcus McNeill, or a safety like Laron Landry. I agree.
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 12:42 AM) S 02 @ Georgia Tech S 09 PENN STATE S 16 MICHIGAN S 23 @ Michigan St. S 30 PURDUE O 07 STANFORD O 21 UCLA O 28 @ Navy (Baltimore) N 04 NORTH CAROLINA N 11 @ Air Force N 18 ARMY N 25 @ Southern Cal Well North Carolina isn't any good, that's a sure win at home....ND has beaten Navy 100 times in a row, home vs. Army is an auto win, at Air Force should definitely be a win, Stanford at home should be no problem, Purdue isn't exactly a powerhouse..... That schedule isn't exactly anywhere near the level an SEC team has to face, or even a Big 10 team for that matter. I agree. They have some potential tough games, but at least half that schedule is guarenteeing a couple of wins.
  14. Don't be suprised if the Saints take AJ Hawk. Supposedly, they want to sign a vet QB and have him compete with Adrian MacPherson for the starting QB role(NO is high on AM) and they really like AJ Hawk. Aaron Brooks is as good as out the door and Bouman played himself out of a job. I think the Bears should take a look at Brooks as a backup QB.
  15. Well I won 100 bucks off that game. Hopefully I win the 300 buck jackpot with Texas. ND proved they were overrated and OSU dominated the game.
  16. The reason I heard Blake didn't start earlier this year was that he couldn't grasp the playbook. I wondered myself why he wasn't starting over Orton until I heard that.
  17. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 10:41 AM) I'm not sure about that. Not sure why KW wouldn't want six legitimate starting pitchers, even if he has to lose one of them at the end of the season and gets nothing in return. If I were KW, I'd be more concerned about winning than the future. At the very least, I'd wait until July to make the deal. The Sox's needs for '06 will be more clear at that point. But I wouldn't be opposed to dealing Contreras if KW could get a legitimate #2 hitter who could play CF and steal 30+ bases (I'm not talking about Taveras), another left-hander in the 'pen, and a good long-reliever who could close if Jenks doesn't pan out (e.g., Chad Qualls, Brendan Donnelly, etc.). In other words, it'd take a lot to move Contreras, but he could help fill some gaps if the right players would be available. You get 2 draft picks at the end of the year and McCarthy another year under his belt and ready to move into the starter's slot while keeping the World Series pitching intact for this upcoming year to make another run. If I'm KW, I hold onto Contreras even if he doesn't sign an extension unless you can get a Tejada for him.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 01:29 AM) Just like Jose Canseco didn't need to convince anyone in 1988 that those Red Sox fans chanting "Steroids" against him were wrong, correct? I guess innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply to certain people.
  19. I honestly could say I've thought of that, but the thing was, I didn't think anyone would be willing to pay for a pixel at all.
  20. I think ours would look something similar to PNC. At least prerenovations it did.
  21. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Dec 30, 2005 -> 09:20 PM) Jas, couldnt they leave him as a player to be named later if there was a timing issue, and then complete the deal officially after the term was complete. Yes they could.
  22. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 30, 2005 -> 06:51 PM) Maybe it's more hope in regards to Texas, but I firmly believe what I said about LSU in 2003 and Auburn in 2004. All I know is that Miami, like USC, headed into the title game (in 2002) with a 34 game winning streak and as defending champs (albeit only 1 time because they got screwed in 2000, else they'd have also been going for 3 in a row) and they didn't get NEARLY this kind of hype. And Miami had to play WAY WAY WAY better competition during their streak than USC has played during theirs. Maybe ESPN and their hype for ratings nonsense has just gotten that much worse the last few years, or maybe they are just showing their USC woody to try and drew viewers from the huge SoCal market, who knows. I agree with that. Miami had a way tougher road. USC = overrated.
