  1. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) As far as the new LB goes, I may or may not watch it. If it doesn't have any of the originals, probably not. I may watch that show with LC on it to see if its any good, but it kinda looks stupid IMO. I think Laguna Beach was probably at its best when it first came out and with the original cast like LC, Kristin, Stephen, Talan, Dieter, Lo, etc. I thought this season was good, just not as good as the first. Yeah, Dieter and Talan kept it real. Lo & LC didn't seem like best friends like in season 1. In fact, Lo wasn't on much at all on Season 2. I didn't even know LC had a sister. Trey was also pretty good. I probably won't watch Season 3. I know there will be little of the Season 1 and 2 casts.
  2. If you're asking me personally: 1)City(I'd like to play in a nice big city) 2)Cash 3)My chances of winning(I'm only 19, so it's not as important) For MLB players, just flip-flop 1 and 2.
  3. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) you don't happen to wear pink polos, with the collar up........and gel your hair for your 8 AM class too do you? Actually... Lol, I wear polos, but I hate guys who wear pink and I think popping your collars is the most stupid look that white people took from Snoop Dogg stupidly which brought it to the mainstream. I'm in fact part of the "Anti-Collar Popping Klan" on facebook. I hate that goddamn look. And I also let my beard grow out half the time. I gel my hair, but if I run out of gel, I'm in no rush to buy more. I just go with the Crede-look.
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 04:37 PM) They have stopped taping and "guided" them I've been told.. Like that fiasco with Jason and LC.. at the fashion show supposedly Jason and her got into a second confrontation in front of her father and her father had some words for Jason. LC is a fashion major and already has an internship with a pretty large designer so her butt was on the line with that show. Jason totally could have effed up some major things for her. I haven't watched last nights yet, but in last weeks show I thought it was funny how she told him he could stop by but her father would not allow him in the house. That guy is such a moron. I hope he's not good enough to be being looked at by any major league scouts.. From what I heard, he isn't anything major as a pitcher. A career minor-leaguer at best if he decides to play baseball. And yeah, I heard that they guide them more so than stop taping and telling them to re-enact stuff. The reasoning is that the first time you show emotion is the best footage to catch because it's natural. Basically they do what they do on the Real World which is push their feelings.
  5. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 04:34 PM) there are this many guys that are into this show? wow. Yes. I am open about it and it helps me get chicks by having vast knowledge of Laguna Beach, and O.C.
  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) They were at 10 Pin the week before. And 2 of them were at Crobar on Saturday. Also, they were in town(I think the whole cast or alot of it) to do something at Loyola. Most of the girls on that show is hot. And I don't know how much they acted and how much was real(too long of a discussion) but I know they were in High School when they did the tapings. And it makes sense for them not to record much on MWF because those kids gotta be doing some type of homework sometime and I'm sure the footage would've been boring for that time. Season 3 didn't look interesting enough for me. I mean if you think about it, it would be the same repetitive storylines. There isn't much that wasn't covered. I'm more interested in "The Hills" which is the LC spinoff because it would be fun to watch them(original cast) grow up.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) This rumor has pretty much been gone back to being pure speculation. And if the deal is done, it probably still won't include Corey.
  8. Damn, look who was right: I don't see any sign of Corey Patterson in that deal. Ship Rowand off to the Marlins for Delgado.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) I'd rather have Carl over Mike...no question. Add me to that list.
  10. I kind of don't like this move. Gimme the Delgado or Abreu or Helton or Thome. You want washed up, this guy is it.
  11. QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 09:07 PM) Disney will miss Pixar. I think that will end up being the case as well. I saw Derailed this weekend. Started slow, but I wasn't dissapointed at all. I ended up loving it.
  12. One of the only things I liked about the Bears win is their orange jerseys. They looked really nice. I wish they would get orange pants and mix those with the white jerseys or blue jerseys once in a while. I also wish they wore more of that blue jersey and blue pants combo.
  13. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 06:55 PM) We also seem to have a surplus of pitchers, and several more in the minors that can be of trade value. PLus, more teams are looking for pitching, so we may be able to get a premium for some of ours. Has Garland's stock even been higher? Don't get me wrong, I like Johnny, but for the right player, I think we could replace him. Do we have any guys who are ready to replace Garland in the rotation? No. Do we have any guys who are ready to replace Rowand? Yes.
  14. R.I.P. He was one of my favorite wrestler's. I bet it was from 'Roids though. Vince McMahon(according to Rowdy Roddy Piper) made some guys take them.
  15. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) What was the previous record for missed FG return? I think 103 by Chris McCallister with Baltimore. IIRC, he's the only other guy to do it in history.

    XBox 360

Oh, and XBOX is going to be $300 not $400 IIRC.

QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 06:13 PM) Or just wait 6 months and the price will be down $100... I won't go down $100 in price til at least after a year it's release, depending on when the PS3 is released.
  18. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 10:18 PM) I'd rather keep Ozuna as our utility infielder for next to nothing than pay Graffanino a lot more money. Also, we have absolutely no need for Paul Byrd. Correct and correct.
  19. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 04:54 PM) PTI is the only thing I watch on ESPN. Me too. Even though I know this would never happen, Comcast should try to buy the programming rights to PTI. Kornheiser and Wilbon are the only good thing to watch on ESPN nowadays.
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 09:50 PM) I wouldn't say it's so cut and dry that he won't trade one of the 5 starters. I know that many disagree with me on this point, but I think there's a chance that KW will trade either Contreras, Garcia, or Garland this offseason if the offer is something he can't refuse. It's HIGHLY unlikely the Sox would be able to afford both Garland and Contreras after this upcoming season. Their value will likely never be higher, so I don't think KW should just say no chance in hell. Everyone here knows that I would be willing to trade Contreras for a marquee hitter like Dunn or Teixeira. You and Kenny are two different people. I doubt he trades any of our pitching unless it's Garland for Delgado straight up and they pay all of Delgado's contract along with Garland's.
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) There are going to be a ton of teams in the Delgado sweepstakes if he's available at such a cheap price. Teams like the Dodgers, Orioles, Red Sox, etc. will definitely be interested. Hell, are we even sure he wants to play in Chicago? I know he turned down the Sox last year (even though I know things have changed). I guess all this debate is what we deserve arguing about something that Mr. Zero, Bruce Levine, said. There's going to be tons of teams inquiring about him, but there aren't many teams willing to take on his contract. I don't see Boston taking on his contract unless they are able to trade Manny. I also don't think Boston wants to give up top prospects. I think they rather look at SP. Dodgers desperately need to get pitching. They're in no position to trade for Delgado. They also don't have much to give up in terms of prospects. Orioles? They want pitching too. I don't think they're willing to spend cash on upgrading their offense considering it was pretty good last year. He turned down the Sox because he knew he was going to be a FA so he didn't want to bother moving to a city, just so he could move 5 months later to another one. He didn't want to go through the process.
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 09:42 PM) Did I miss Patterson sign a new contract? Last I heard, he's still a financially cheap option. If the Marlins do trade Delgado, they're definitely going to try and get a MLB caliber starting pitcher in the deal. You missed that the Marlins aren't trying to take on extra contracts. They have no need for Patterson which is why he wouldn't be included in a deal unless you're talking about Eric Patterson who would be a viable option to replace Alex Gonzalez.
  23. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) If the Marlins GM ends up trading Delgado and Pierre for Rich Hill, Rowand, Marte, and Rogo......then he should win the award for worse executive ever. Hell, maybe we can throw in Vizcaino in the deal, and get Miguel Cabrera! You didn't answer the question. And BTW, they are trying to shed payroll. Rowand is better than Pierre. Hill is a good pitching prospect who some think is the next Barry Zito which would work in Miami. Marte still is a decent RP, despite him being our worst reliever. Rogo also is a pretty good 1B prospect, but I just threw him in as a prospect. They might want Sean Tracey instead. But it won't take one of our 6 SP's.
  24. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) Any Pierre deal to the Cubs will almost definitely include Patterson in it. Patterson's contact you mention? I've never heard anyone mention anything about it be a problem. I guarantee you that they could get a MUCH better deal for Delgado than 3 players like the ones mentioned. Oh really? Enlighten me as who they could get that would equal that package? Keep in mind that the team has to be willing to take that contract(at least 13 mil). The only way any deal with Pierre includes Patterson is if Lowell is thrown in. The Marlins don't want to take on more contracts than they have to.
