All I hear is commercials and music in between the commercials. Are they going to say anything at all?? I guess I missed Brantley.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) Careful guys, this is very close to the policy line. Sounds like a simmering issue. May I suggest the ignore feature? QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 12:27 PM) How about blowing up the PMs? Not mine, but each other's. Then we won't all have to read it. Hey, don't worry. I've learned my lesson and won't be making attacks. I'm just trying to be a happy camper and root for my team. If HHJ wants to start personal attacks, good for him, but I refuse to get suspended for something dumb again.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 11:59 AM) Again, and it's like I have to tell you this every freaking time: It's an accumulation of posts, not just this one in particular. Your man-love for Crede is disturbing to me. Do you write the dude love letters or what? You are so quick to criticize Mark Buehrle. Why? Is it because people say that he's better than Garland? That is the precise reasoning behind your bulls*** Buehrle posts, am I wrong? GOOD GOD. Personal attacks are not allowed on soxtalk so I'm not allowed to respond to such a post. Thank you very much and have a nice day.

Another Ipod out, which means even more Ipods are outdated. One of the main reasons I won't buy an Ipod. You're s***'s outdated within 2 weeks.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 11:38 AM) Yep, and Garland is more valuable than Mark Beuhrle, ain't that right? There is a thin line between loyalty and straight-up mental retardation. Well, at least in your case, anyway. Yeah, cas I said Crede was as good of a player as Jeter. :headshake

QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 11:38 AM) The better Molina's arm was probably still hurting him from getting hit in the Yankees series. We have a winnah!

Must win tommorow IMHO. Santana is a guy who has shut us down before.

Crede = The White Sox Derek Jeter.

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 11:33 AM) It's just fun to talk about it....dam dude we have a day to kill here...Why you bustin up the party. I'm talking in terms of people b****ing about this call saying, "Oh the umps costed us a victory." No one knows what would've happened(well we know the Rally Crede would've came through in the 10th instead of the 9th). I hate Angels fans who are assuming they would've won the game.
-
It just delayed the inevitable. Crede just would've hit a Walk-Off HR instead of a double off the wall to win us the game. Crede's BA 7th inning and on since Sept 1st: Something like .468.
-
I'll sum this up real nicely. Who gives a s***? We won, they didn't. They're not going to reverse the call or give the game back to the Angels. People need to STFU and accept it for what it was. Good call, bad call, it don't matter anymore.

Awesome stuff. I would go if I didn't have school and I had the cash. I heard there's still a few tickets available.

Amare Stoudemire
nitetrain8601 replied to hammerhead johnson's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
This is worse than Webber's operation. Amare had the same surgery Penny had years back. Penny wasn't a guy who depended as heavily on his athleticism as Amare. Best case scenario for Amare is to turn out to be the current Antonio McDyess. -
What was up with todays crowd?
nitetrain8601 replied to Whitewashed in '05's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This game from the get go seemed much much quieter than the games against Boston. It's not the Fox volume because there was times when our crowd actually got loud. Like I said in another thread, it seemed like the White Sox had to do something first before they got cheered as opposed to last week when the fans were urging them on to get that base hit or turn that DP. -
I'm not going to blame the game on the fans, but they definately seemed a lot more quiet last night than the first two games of the ALDS. Instead of willing them to win, they waited for the White Sox to do something before they cheered. Now that's nice for the regular season, but I think the crowd was pretty much dead last night and needed to be like the first 2 playoff games. The other part of the game is blamed on the players. Ozzie even looked pissed because of a lack of execution. I also heard AJ say that when he asked Raines if he missed a hit and run call, Raines said, "I don't know." How the hell does a 1B coach not know the call on the field?? Last night, I think Ozzie was the only one who did his job.
-
They just talked about him on PTI. They said he personally phoned in Reinsdorf to see if he could get tickets and Reinsdorf said no since he jumped on the Cubs bandwagon back in 2003. Reinsdorf also said that the White Sox don't need any celebrities to cheer for them. Kornheiser agreed with JR while Wilbon disagreed.

Even though Uribe got back in and we got a base hit, Ozzie looks pissed as hell on that play. -

Horrible horrible game today. I'm already going to pack it in as a loss. I hope I'm wrong. This game was a total of embarassment. And they get an infield hit. -

QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 06:30 PM) this crowd is waiting for the sox to deliver instead of getting the F outta the seats and spilling beer all over each other. DAMN! Probably cas it's a colder night. Gotta be cautious about that cold beer.
