  1. Bases are loaded. Wow. What happened to Romero??
  2. QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) I supposed I should look things up before i say them. hahah. But that stat surprises me Well the thing is, the White Sox usually get the runs they need. They usually don't go above and beyond like they used to and then get shut out the next night. We constantly score in every game. It adds up.
  3. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) What's mostly killing your team is the offense. You guys aren't scoring any runs. I agree. Offense has been really crappy. You guys better hope you guys soon get out of your funk.
  4. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 07:35 PM) It had funny parts, but they just kept repeating themselves for the most part. Same joke recycled 400 times. And nitetrain, go right ahead with it. I just thought it was similar and wanted to know if you had seen the other one. Gotta link to it?
  5. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) You get this idea from the White Sox message board? If so, you probably won't come up with anything new. Their thread has like 500 responses. Actually I didn't. Don't visit the MLB boards and haven't been to WSI in some time. Sorry if it's been done before. I'll let it die.
  6. Anyone want to see the Cleveland win and Boston lose?? Okay, before you flame me, let me explain. As much as I think the White Sox are on top of the world, I think it would be better for the White Sox have a matchup against the Orioles/AL West opponent in the 1st round and Cleveland in the ALCS. I think our pitching would stomp any of the others. If Boston gets the Wild Card, we have to face them in the first round. Schilling will be back and they have a dynamic offense. I rather not have to go through them.
  7. Okay, basically you try to predict the headlines in tommorow's newspapers. If it's successful, great, if not, well it was worth a shot since I'm bored. I'll start: CUBBIES LET A GAME SLIP, DEREK LEE GETS ANOTHER HIT White Sox win another against defenseless bottom feeders of the league...inside, jay mariotti discusses how the Twins are setting up the White Sox for a big meltdown and the never ending attendance issue.
  8. Wow 6-1. I'll be okay with a 10 game lead at the end of July though considering the Twins are a 2nd half team and we'll be facing them alot in the 2nd half.
  9. OrangeBlazer posted that on Illiniboard. That sucks. He's probably going to go JuCo.
  10. Derek Lowe just signed with the Dodgers this year. He is doing pretty good with them and they need more pitching because their pitching staff is either injured or doing horrible. He's a small bright spot. Plus he's owed tons of money. No Lowe young grasshopper. And I'm a fan of Lowe.
  11. A couple of things. 1)It depends on what they want for him and what his contract is. If it's reasonable, and they just want a midlevel prospect or midlevel prospect + Borchard + Timo, I'd do it. 2)Is he an asset? I say so. I wouldn't have him start because on this team, he doesn't deserve to start, but I wouldn't doubt that Ozzie would use him as Frank's special pinch runner and everyone else's. You can never have too much speed. With that said, I don't think it happens.
  12. Where's Cory Lidle these days? That's another guy KW's loved. Maybe he doesn't see the point in trading for a Superstar pitcher. I don't see it. We just would need someone to help finish up the season and I think El Duque could get that done.
  13. QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) :sleep does nothing for me I agree. Even when he was winning, he ERA was pretty high. He isn't that good even when he's at his best. Rather have El Duque. I guess he wouldn't be a bad option for mopup duty if we are trading one of those PTBNL guys.
  14. From Bucks fans, they really didn't care too much for him and didn't think he was that good. Weird move nonetheless.
  15. Makes sense. I think we played UNC two years ago in Champaign. If we have Rush, we have a great chance of winning one there.
  16. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) i see no closers They hold about 12 pitchers. 4 closers and 8 SP/Dominate MR
  17. QUOTE(Be Good @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) Francona also called me about 3B I told him that Blalock might be a better option then Crede, so we'll see what happens. Bad choice. I hope some people can see the obvious sarcasm.
  18. HELL f***IN' YEA!!!! EAT SHYT b****ES!!!!!!! A little OT, has anyone else noticed that the lower deck has became more and more full the past week or so? Are they letting more people down there from the Upper Deck or is it the fact that the park is slowly filling up??
  19. I thought Jack McDowell had a 48 game streak back in 93 or 92.
  20. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:22 PM) Once more, insert 1-liner to end thread: 49-22. PERIOD. I would like to join. I also could care less if it's Frank or Rowand batting in the 3 spot. I wouldn't drop Frank personally to the 5th spot, but if Ozzie were to do that, I could understand that.
  21. Aaron has hit his best in the 3rd spot and is our best hitter with runners in scoring position. Big Hurt would bat 4th, but Konerko needs his protection so it all makes sense. This isn't a move that's discipling Thomas, but more like helping Rowand and Konerko.
  22. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) I've argued on this point far too much over the last couple days. But this is one of the most fun subjects to argue about. I've been a huge perponant of Halladay starting the All-Star game and I'm sticking with it. Stats tell all. I agree wholeheartedly.
  23. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 12:20 PM) forget the popcorn. /grabs camera... Don't forget the Jello
  24. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 11:07 PM) There is a way to flood the allstar ballot http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/mb/message.asp...=1&msg=39021.16 so if you wanted the al you would go here mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2005/al_ballot.html Im not going to do it because its probaly illegal. Looks like the White Sox will be sweeping every position in the ASG. Putting homefield advantage in the White Sox hands.
