  1. QUOTE(ChiSoxFan @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 06:42 AM) Wow, that was sad. Guess you never know a person until you've seen what they have had to go through. You can only hope that he can reconcile with his father, & that his father can get clean. My sentiments exactly. I only hate him because he's a Twin. I feel sorry for him and his dad.
  2. I caught it. He said, he's being hypocritical because there's probably someone on the White Sox starting to cheat. Some guy in the forum segment also said, this would be turning point and that the White Sox always self-implode and they are starting to do so now. oh yeah, looks like we'll lose 10 of our next 11 because Buehrle called someone out It's funny also because Rome asked Chad Cordero, is it safe to assume that every team has one guy that does it and Chad kept saying no and that there's probably only a few guys in the league who are doing it. He also said he knows of no one that's doing it. Rome is an f'n idiot. So are his panelists.
  3. When things like this are said, it makes me glad that the real leaders are Mark Buehrle and Carl Everett
  4. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) That 2003 team, if it had won the AL Central, would have rolled over the Yankees and the Red Sox. It would have gone to the World Series, where it would lose embarassingly bad to Florida. Instead, they lost embarassingly bad to the AL equivalent of the Marlins. I agree. Even Cashman said that the only team he was scared of that year was the White Sox. It was an incredible team on paper and looked like it had no holes. I think if we had Ozzie that year, no doubt we make it. That's when we lost it all in 1 Twins series.
  5. and tell me why. Lot's of people say Alfonso Soriano. I'll hold back my arguments, but back up yours with some meaningful stats(don't give me stuff like VORP or some weird ass stat that someone invested yesterday. Give me OBP, AVG, Defensive stats, etc.)
  6. QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) I dont want to use injuries as an excuse, but man the Twins have been beat up this year. All of our middle infielders are hurt. The Twins put Abernathy on the DL and activated Luis Rivas, who was to be going on a rehab assingment after the game tonight. Castro goes down tonight. But its not the 4th of July yet. Still a lot of baseball to be played. Just as long as the Twins are 4-5 games back by the end of July, things will be good Normally I would agree with you, but last year the Sox were without Frank and Maggs for a huge part of the season, so no go.
  7. Depends on where you are trying to download from. If it's like a music video not from Launch, I could get that. There's also programs to download streams.
  8. If I could buy this at a regular store, I would.
  9. He'll do it. He's gone on record saying that he wants to be a head coach or an assistant for Phil if he becomes a coach at all. Here's his chance. Unless someone offers him a GM job, he's not turning it down.
  10. Haha, that's funny. He needs to get better recruiters here though if he can't do it on his own.
  11. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) Seriously Nathan, Crain, Rincon, and Romero are working 6 inning games over there. It's incredible annnoying listen to these announcers after playing MVP. The only thing I can think of is...GRAB SOME PINE...MEAT Hey, I just noticed your sig. Anyway you could get PK's OBP with RISP??
  12. That's actually a smart idea. I'll probably do that.
  13. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:43 PM) If this is true were stupid :banghead That's because he didn't know if he wanted to play baseball or hockey I think it was. So we drafted him and he didn't want to sign and he didn't play a year at all because he didn't know what he wanted to decide yet until the following year when he put his name back in the draft. It's not like the White Sox dropped the ball on him, he simply didn't have a clear cut decision of what he wanted to do when we drafted him.
  14. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:41 PM) I personally wouldn't and I know I'm going to get torn to shreads for that but I guess I just like the way this offense is built and I know their stats aren't good but they've come up with every big hit possible. The thing that says it for me is that the Twins have a better team era and there are a ton of people who absolutely love their offense yet the sox are 5 games up on them. Anyways, it's just a difference of opinion I could see how you would like this year's offense over last year. Perfect scenario would be a combo of the two. Well actually, I would probably keep Pods, Iguchi, AJ and maybe Dye.
  15. Wasn't this for 2000, or 2001?(Gagne for Howry)
  16. Lock him up to a 15 year deal dangit.
  17. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 03:57 PM) Haha, Willie Harris in right field now that would be something to see. Anyways while good on paper that offense would have done the same crap our offense in years past did imo. I don't know. I-Rod and Nomar are pretty good balanced hitters as in they hit both for average and power. Same with Frank(at least OBP wise) and Rowand. PK would've had his PK year. I truly don't know, but I would've watched, that's for sure.
  18. Wow, that's really, just different. So if I have all this right, assuming the Sox would've opened up their pocketbooks enough this could've been our team at some point last year?: C-Ivan Rodriguez 1B-Paul Konerko 2B-Juan Uribe 3B-Joe Crede SS-Nomar Garciaparra RF-Willie Harris?? CF-Aaron Rowand LF-Carlos Lee DH-Frank Thomas That's better than St. Louis lineup from last year IMO. 5-man rotation: Buehrle Garcia Loaiza(I don't know of we still would've traded for Contreras) Garland 5th starter That would be an interesting team. Anyway, before I forget. I always seem to ask, but nobody answers so I'll ask again. I hear that Willie isn't liked in the clubhouse very much for something he did last year. Anyone know what he did??
  19. It was Garland and Chris Singleton for Darin Erstad. I don't know what Yes or No is supposed to mean. Do you mean, you're glad it didn't happen, you wanted it to happen? If that's the case, I'm glad it didn't happen. Crede, BMac and prospects for Eric Chavez
  20. He probably didn't think Detroit was going to come out of the blue and sign him. I certainly didn't. That's weird though. I-Rod seems like a guy KW would sign in a heartbeat if he did that. He would've been perfect for Olivo's development. I digress though. I'm just saying, it would've been awesome.
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:11 PM) I'm so not going to get into this.. mainly because no one will believe me.. but Mikster from WSI was there in Detroit as the story of how Pudge could have been on the Sox.. and it was not a $ issue. The same with Urbina.. Thanks for telling what you can. Wow. Anyone, I also believe that KW runs things, but will ask Ozzie on things of comparison. Like KW would ask him, we're looking at two guys right now, who would you rather have? and then go from there.
  22. Can't you just read the address bar at the bottom and add something to the effect of "=500" to get 500 votes for one person. I found that out at some hacker website I visited alot senior year of high school.
  23. Whoa Whoa Whoa Steff, Pudge was considering us, but KW didn't want to sign him??
  24. QUOTE(soxhawks @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) i just saw his interview on csn before the game, he kind of reminds me of DMX Arff!!!! Arff!!!! Get at Me Dawg!!!!!! Arf!!!!
