  1. I got an idea, start Chris Widger. Pete Munro did pretty good in the playoffs against a murderer's row in STL last year. Maybe we could do the same and convert our C to starter for at least one game.
  2. It will be on 3 days rest if he goes Sunday. I don't know if I like that. If it's Hermy, they better not use him tonight.
  3. Poole. They're going to need a S since Aeneas is in his current state. Slow and immobile.
  4. Even Skiles said last night after the win that it's been tough not being able to go to Eddy and having him open everyone else up. He's super important. 2nd best young center behind Yao. He does play defense and he's at least boxing out for others on the team to get the rebounds. We have Tyson to be the really big defensive presence for us and Eddy is going to be our really big offensive presence. Also, EC has made some really big plays defensively, down the stretch for us this year(e.g. Curry blocking Rashard Lewis in Seattle to seal the deal). Two things: 1)Curry can't be sign and traded for a draft pick because a)earliest that you can sign a player after the season is over, is July 15th. The draft is in June. b)having an under the table deal(tell a team to draft a certain player to be traded to you later for a RFA) is illegal. 2)Shareef Abdur Rahim is a free agent. Bulls can't trade for a FA unless it's a sign and trade. Curry is going to command 9-11 million a year, if you like it or not. That means Portland would have to sign and trade SAR for that and EC>SAR. When Skiles has come around saying that the Bulls need Curry to get back out there, then you know he's needed on this team. He was going on his hottest streak too right before he has his complications. Keep Curry and let this team grow together. The Bulls will be able to sign everyone in their young core and there is no reason not to anymore. Also remember, the Bulls have been playing crap teams, and the only good team they faced was Miami and we got our asses handed back to us on a silver platter. We would've lost that with or without O.
  5. He already has said that a couple of teams have given him offers. Most notably was Houston. The Bulls won't bring him back, but I think they should. I think at worst right now, he'll be Chris Duhon and he'll be cheaper since he's coming off of injury. I like Duhon and Pargo, but I think even Jay coming back will be as good as those guys. I don't think he'll be the top PG in the game like so many thought he would be, but he'll be a slightly above average PG in the league.
  6. The trifecta blows. They should keep the shows at 30 minutes. Eh well. They'll get rid of it once the NBA is done. Thank God. We'll soon get 1 hour BBTN shows.
  7. This is why I think Contreras will stay with the team. He dominates bad clubs. He just couldn't beat above average offenses which is all there was in the AL East. I see him winning 15 games.
  8. I think Timo stays with this team. Ozzie and KW like him and he's done nothing to warrant him being off the team. He was pretty clutch for us last year too.
  9. Too early for this thread. White Sox were on top at Memorial Day and we still lost. No threads on us being on top should be posted just yet. I say at the earliest is August and that's if this team isn't sliding.
  10. Dangit, I wanted to see Buehrle vs Santana. Sucks JG got sick. I was looking foward to see him pitchin tonight. I think it gives us a better chance to win the whole series though. Santana had a bad April ERA last year and with 1 game pitched, he has a bad April ERA now. As long as it's ensured that we win today, I'm fine. I just wish we could showcase Buehrle as the best lefthander in the AL Central and probably the 2nd best in the league.
  11. Yeah, Crede did hit the ball tonight. Even Hawk and DJ were making note of it and saying Crede looked at Tim Raines and he was laughing because he knows that things aren't just going his way. He was hitting the ball hard tonight, but they were going straight to the fielders.
  12. They won't be. He won't be replaced until Fields is ready. By then Crede should be batting .300 with 28 HR's and 101rbi's
  13. Willie gets a hit and scores on an Everett single. So much for being dumb when it comes to benching Tad.
  14. I prefer Honey Buns. Anyway, my player of the game goes to none other than....Joe Crede. He's going for the cycle tonight.
  15. I'm going with Erasmus. Clayton will be nothing more than what they got on their team. Marcus Robinson at best. I see Nate Burelson having better potential.
  16. I'm still strongly supporting Crede. He'll turn it around. CREDE's CREW 2005!!!!!!
  17. Hits a bloop into RF, man advances to 3rd with Lee on 1st. 1 out.
  18. QUOTE(quickman @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) How about a nice chicago fire through wrigelyville. Yep. Anyone have a cow?? I have a couple of candles.
  19. I think that Ozzie had a flashback to last year when he pulled Marte right away last year against KC, so he stuck with the guy a bit longer and it killed him.
  20. I'm not going to question Shingo being left in there because I certainly didn't expect him to give up 3 HR's. I second guess using up the bullpen that dumbly though just in case Shingo doesn't get the save. Now they only had 1 guy available who pitched the previous game and they wanted him to last 3 or 4 innings. That's not smart. What was up with Widger warming up. I saw him in the bullpen. Did they say anything on tv about it??
  21. All things equal, I will say, most dependable pitchers like this: Marte(He's been good more times than not) Vizcaino/Hermanson(Vizcaino is a good Marte clone when on, maybe better and Hermy can come in almost any situation) Shingo(when on he's unhittable, but I've only seen him for 1 year) Cotts(developing and it shows he's becoming better) Politte(he better go back to last years form)
  22. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) I'm telling you.. all this stupid ass ignorant generalization s*** is really starting to piss me off. How many games do you go to...? I live in Plainfield.. it's 60 effing miles home. 50+ times a year we make that drive. You are preaching to the effing choir here.. go b**** at the ones that do make excuses. Clearly.. they don't post here. I'm going to 60 something. I went to Monday's and sadly I was apart of today's. Whoever asked the attendance, it was 10,000, maybe a little more. That's home game's at least. Me and my friends are also taking road trips to Comerica, Kauffman and the Bagdome. Anyway, that game was, less than stellar.
