I was surprised to see Wing taken off the roster, but i guess they figured he wouldnt be claimed by somebody else since he is coming off surgery. Hell, he could be in Texas by the end of next year. I am happy for him and I am sure he will dominate once again when he gets healthy.

It's about damn time!!

Both of these guys are still pretty young and they both have good upsides. I think both also have the chance to pitch in the Bigs. But on the other hand they are both assholes!!!! J/K

Baj, I love the pics of me touching my nipples, and Westy passed out on the bean bag.

John Lackaff was released last week.

I enjoyed the chat a lot. It was hard to keep up at times but I did as good as i could. A moderated chat would be easier for me for the simple fact that I could give more than one sentence answers and so that I dont miss a question, which I realized I missed a couple after reading the transcript. But all in all it was fun because it was like a real conversation with people asking the serious questions and others going off the wall and trying to throw me off. I like a little bit of chaos and Baj provided plenty of it. I would love to do another one if you guys ever want to. Thanks JB

I found out that giant was Baj. Chicago was my girlfriend, Fijian bastard and whiffleberg are her roommates in Malibu. THey are my golfing buddies in the offseason. I told her not to tell them about the chat because I knew theuy would start asking the outrageous stuff. But I guess they saw her on her computer looking at the chat and they couldnt resist. They're freakin retarded. I didnt realize giant was Baj until the end of the chat and I confirmed it when I went to his room and he admitted it. Thanks again guys and gals for having me. It was a good time and I'll talk to McCarthy about doing a chat with you guys at some point. Bull

No its Brian McNichol. Kris McWhirter retired this offseason. I think Munoz is starting because 1. He is freakin good and 2. He has 3 pitches he can locate in the zone and 3. he projects as a pretty solid starter as long as he can withstand the expanded innings.

It looks like Sweeney and Anderson are both headed to Winston, along with Nanita. Fields has something wrong with his foot and Wing has some inflamation in his shoulder I believe.

THe Bham roster looks like it is pretty much set. I think we can carry 24 active players. There is 27 on the roster right now, 2 on the DL This is what it looks like now: Pitchers: Starters- Honel, Meaux, Phillips, Munoz, Yofu, Wing(on DL for a month or so) Relievers- Bullard, Ulacia, McNichol, Baj, Smith, Keller, Allen, Fields(DL for a couple of weeks) Infielders- McNeal, Yan, Reyes, Morse, Shaffer, Sasser Outfielders- Spidale, Blakely, Franklin, Murphy Catchers- Maldonado, Aceves, Stewart

Stephenson is definitely not in camp, so I guess he is gonna be a fireman. And I talked to Munoz today and he is gonna start.
-
Actually, I am the fastest white guy there is.
-
THere is some of talk of A.M. being converted but I dont know for sure. Martel is fast, Spidale probably faster.

Jesus H, Rex!! You are a machine when it comes to questions. I'll answer as much as I can. Rob Sasser 3B in the Orioles org. last year Ace or Carlos could still end up in Bham (one or both of them) Hank and Rivera will be catching for sure in Charlotte, but Hank will play other positions as well. i think Burke might make the big club as the 3rd catcher/utility guy Shaffer = Triple A= probably not any time soon T Nick is gonna be utility in Bham or Winston Randolph is in camp but cant do anything because of some equillibrium problem. I dont really know him too well Paz will probably be in Charlotte in a utility role Wyatt is headed back to Winston along with An, Stumm and Purvis Martel/Spidale will be in Bham because 1. there are too many OF's in low A and high A ie. Sweeney, Anderson, Nanita, Brice, Young, Ciraco, etc. and 2. they are both Razor's boys and he wants to have the guys he wants with him I think and 3. they both play solid D and we need guys like that to cover ground at the Met, not to mention they can hit a bit too Meaux was converted to a starter last week. I actually just found that out yesterday. That is good for me I guess and since he can throw 3 pitches for strikes and is learning a cutter, he fits the mold of a starter. And finally, as you well know Rex there are always surprises that abound so it is possible that there could be some fireworks before everything is said and done Wow that was a lot of s***! Hope I helped a bit!

The rosters are far from set, but I have a pretty good idea who will be in Bham. Starters: Honel, Wing, Meaux, Phillips and Yofu/Wylie Relievers: Bullard, Ulacia, Bajenaru, Smith, Fields, and one or two of the following: Yofu/Darvin Withers/Kris Keller/Darrin Ebert/Brian McNichol Infielders/Catchers: 1B McNeal/Becker 2B Yan 3B Shaffer/Sasser/Cameron SS Morse/Reyes C Rosa/Stewart Outfielders: Welsh, Spidale, Martel, Blakely Those are basically all the guys on our working roster right now. But I have learned that nothing is set in stone until we are actually in Bham. As for Charlotte I have no idea about the position guys but the pitchers look like they will include 12 of the following: Cotts, Rauch, Diaz, Munoz, Sanders, Ginter, Adkins, Majewski, Duncan, Pacheco, Stewart, Darensbourg, Santiago, Wylie, Ebert, McNichol, Keller We still have a ton of pitchers in camp so anything can still happen!

They liked how I battled and threw strikes, despite the adversity and they liked how I stayed composed throughout the ordeal.

Quickman, I appreciate your brutal honesty, but I definitely dont suck and either does Grilli, or anyone playing pro ball for that matter. If we sucked then we would have a day job doing something else. I had a lot of fun today, even though I gave up 4 straight hits before I got a double play ball. That was my first live game against outside competition all spring, not to mention my first ever game throwing sidearm against somebody other than hitters in controlled intra squads. I have only had roughly two weeks to work on it and I accomplished what I wanted to do out there. That is, I threw strikess and competed against some pretty good f***in hitters. My results will come. That is why I have the luxury of spring training to prepare myself for the season because frankly I know I am gonna be in Bham and I am doing whatever it takes to prepare for that. Thanks for your comments because you definitely have the right to think and say what you want. I actually enjoy criticism because it only makes me better in the long run. And if I get another chance this spring or this season or whatever, I promise you I will have better results than I did today!

Fastball, slider, changeup. Fastball is in the 86-90 range. Slider is 76-78 and changeup is 74-77. I also throw sidearm now from the left side, a la Kelly Wunsch.

Thanks guys for encouragement. It looks as if I will be back in Birmingham as the left handed setup guy in the pen. It also seems that Meaux, Baj, Smitty, Stumm, and newcomer to AA, Josh Fields, will also be in the pen with me. But I think that something will go down before this spring is said and done. There will be some kind of trade, minor or major leaguers, to free up some spots in the org. for the plethera (did I spell that right?) of pitching depth that we have. I dont have a problem going back the BHAM because 1. I need to put up some great numbers this year and I already have been in the Southern League once so I know what to expect, and 2. the Hoover Met is the best pitchers park in minor league baseball. It is gonna be a fun year in Bham and we should have some depth and a good chance to win it all.
-
Just what we need, more freaking pitchers in minor league camp!!! Every where you look there are pitchers. We have at least 2 guys for every roster spot available for the 4 affiliates that begin in April. THere are basically 48 spots on those 4 teams for pitchers and we have 80 something dudes fighting for those spots. This is the first spring training I've been to that that has been the case. Something major is gonna have to go down, ie. trades, releases or deaths, to minimze the amount of guys in camp.

Mac you are a funny guy. Its nice to have you here (even if you are a 1/2 inch taller than me!) But at least I weigh 50 lbs more, mix in a meal for God's sake!!! Tell the Azusa boys I said whats up>
-
Dont assume that WAllen is Wyatt. I'm sure it probably is but I am gonna find out for sure first. And Jason, no we are not in Az. yet. Minor League mini camp starts Feb 26 and the rest of us are there on March 6. I have no idea how everyone found this site because I didnt tell anyone but Baj and Cottsy. Oh well sooner or later they were gonna find it. At least everyone that did find it has a basic knowledge of the game and arent the little rookie f***s that have no clue like those kids in Bristol and GF. This posting should get pretty interesting considering every minor leaguer in here represents almost every farm team we field, so you will get more views and such from us.

How did you know that BMac was on the list before the old guy was added?
