I agree that on a sports website like this, people should not nitpick so much. It is dumb, since everyone makes mistakes. In my case, I usually do not like to do what I am doing now in trying to make sure my grammar is correct. I like to get my point across however I want. I do agree that their is sometimes pronounced like they're and not always like there. It depends on the person and probably sometimes the rest of the sentence.

I think our offensive stats are mostly a product of the pitching we've faced so far. Those averages are gonna shoot up once we start facing some below average pitchers. Although, we are gonna need people to hit good pitching if we're gonna really go anywhere.

The level of Harold Reynold's stupidity is shocking. I could not believe it when he didn't at least throw in a ... and maybe the White Sox. The Sox already took 2 series against teams that they call "contenders." I was furious when I saw that because even though many people on here go on about how we should not care what ESPN thinks, I think most of us do. The Sox are such a forgotten team, even in their own city, that when something like this happens, it pisses me off. We crave the national respect because we don't get it on a local level. Leave the not worrying to cubs fans.

This has been fantastic so far. Even though its April, tommorrow is a big game. If we can beat Santana, we will truly establish the dominance for this year. Hopefully Buehrle can do better than he used to do vs. Mulder when we would always lose 2-1 or something.

Rowand says there's no selfish players on the Sox
mrzo2733 replied to Jabroni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I like all 3 of the departed players mentioned. Having said that, Carlos is a selfish ball player. I don't really know how anyone can say otherwise. After that hitting streak was over, he became the same old Carlos ( still a very good ballplayer but trying to hit home runs all the time). I can't really say anything bad at all about Mags or Jose though. Mags seemed to be a good team player and Jose played the game as hard as anyone. -
Did anybody else feel like they were getting punched in the stomach when seeing how many people were picking Jeremy Reed for ROY. Also, all these people picking the Twins to win the WS is stupid. Its not impossible but my guess is its just as another article on ESPN was saying- the Twins remind people of the Patriots. But just as someone else said, the logic of riding Santana doesn't really apply against Schilling or Johnson. All those writers are just going overboard on that "Patriots" team and chemistry stuff when using it to talk about the Twins.

Holy crap, i heard of bmac a week ago, i guess i have not been paying attention. I saw him pitch 2day but omg hes so skinny i cant see him lasting a whole year. I'm definitely happy to have pitcher i've never heard of though. where did he come from. y'all gonna kill me i know but oh well, cant hurt me too much i'm a sox fan and yeah thats pretty much all i have to say. dont hurt me too bad

I think I saw that in the tribune a while ago, maybe Phil Rogers. Anyways, I pretty much agree with that still. I would stick with him up to about 26/3. We need his power and run production, and I agree that he is definitely a good clubhouse guy. However, he is just sooo slow. They are so station to station with him on base that I think anything more than a small raise would be a mistake.

QUOTE(ShySox72 @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) A few months ago someone had made a pretty good suggestion for PK. The Sox should give him a decent offer now to see where he stands with the organization. If it's a "reasonable" offer & he declines its, maybe we can make a move before July 31st to pull some add'l talent our way. If he's not looking to stay on the South Side and wants a cash grab, let him go. KW & Ozzie seem content with Gload anyway. However if he signs, that's good for the Sox. I don't believe we need blazing speed on 1B & Konerko can put up numbers (...well at least last year he did).

I guess I agree with something someone mentioned a bit ago. In this case, I think we have to trust our scouts. They seem to have hit on Shingo. I think it would be a good investment and personally hope it gets done because I'm tired of seeing Willie bunt every first at bat and not be able to get a sacrifice down when it counts.

I thought it was pretty witty. Just because you don't know what it means doesn't mean its not true brah.

I like Iguchi but if we do get Cora I won't mind. I don't know about you guys but the more people we have in the this organization and team that like each other- the better (Alex and Joey, Freddy and Ozzie). I know I've always played better in any sport when I truly like the people on my team. Its all about synergy, 1+1=3.

thank you qwerty

I really like this move. We needed the extra bat. Hopefully Iguchi is next. Honestly, I don't know much about him, but someone told me he batted like .330 with 20 hr. That should transfer well enough. Also, does he bat left or right?

I could not agree with you more.

I can no longer take Jerry Reinsdorf. Can someone please start a sellthesox.com website or something. Baseball is not supposed to be abusiness. Owners who spend money win. This is Chicago. Chicago. Detroit is going to outspend us. Detroit. I have said for a while now the best thing for the sox would be jr to have a cancer scare or something ( just a scare, i don't wish anything really bad for anyone.) With the team as is we are average. How much longer can we deal with this? I'm 24 but feel like 54 in sox years.

This team drives me crazy

But Perez isn't gonna go for half the price. If its up to 10 for Clement, I would give Perez 7 today to get it done before Clement signs.
-
Clement is obviously better. He is definitely not a $10 mil pitcher, more like 7 or 8, but unfortunately supply and demand says he is. The bigger picture for me is that I just want to see some sort of committment to winning. Clement WOULD improve our team by a lot. I need this.

I don't know, anothe starter is important, but my #1 thing I wanted was top 2b,ss, or 3b (Renteria or Cabrera). I'd love Cabrera and to put Uribe at 2nd. I like him a lot more than Willie. I still don't understand why they can't do both, they just $16 mil in payroll. If they would just even spend the same as last year we could be really tough. Very frustrated.
