  1. itb be good, id like to have a pitcher's park either move the plate back or change the dimensions of the roof so that the wind is shifted in some way...cant really explain but just an idea.
  2. I would pick Hermanson because he's more realiable than ShoE... ShoE just didnt fit well in the rotation but was a godd pen guy, he just wanted to start. Im glad we are giving Hermanson this chance to help solidify our pen. see you in Toronto ShoE
  3. bynes is someone that i thought, since i saw him play with the A's, would be great in a SOX uniform. Even better if he plays 1st, he's good defensively and would fit into Ozzie's play. Not a power hitter but could come up with 20-25 homers. Get him Kenny and trade Konerko for Vasquez
  4. go for it Maggs. Let's see what kind of power numbers you put up in Comerica. i'm guessing not good, and with that injury , it'b be interesting to see him run the gaps of Comerica. It sounds like another Fernando Viña for the Tigers in Ordoñez
  5. I think Buehrle now and later on, Rowand will be big here too.
  6. Dugout dollars has Ray-Ray at $6.78 million for 2005 and again in 2006?????!!!! I doubt the Sox will take that on.....I hope not, thankfully its only a rumor I'd feel more confortable with Cora or Iguchi.
  7. i hope KW gets creative with the offer because i'm not so sure AJ will take a 1 yr. 2 million offer...although ive heard about the possibility of incentives in this post.
  8. (Jordan4Life 2004) good point and thanks for reminding us.
  9. Wow, I would imagine we have a few bucks to spend still. Good stuff. Nice work Rex too
  10. yanks #1 red sox #2 White Sox #3 Twinkies #4 im alittle skeptical about the BoSox pitching staff with arroyo and wakefield...the Sox may very well slip by them and be 2nd. That's my opinion.
  11. more than 10 but less than 15.
  12. dissapointed but i wouldn't want to have him for the three years...there'll be better players later on when we need them more. Willie will do for now but he has to be an improvement this year from last.
  13. too bad there is no more room, I would rather have the fences back and have less seats in LF, CF, and RF.
  14. they should move the fences back a good 20-25 ft. to let in more room for triples and doubles therefore we could base the park around the idea of speed and defense im tired of seeing homers fly out so much and I think it would be fun to see some more hustling in at third base.
  15. El Duque is a good offer i just hope he is not injured then we can see about 12-15 wins from him.
  16. If I had to guess: Buehrle - 19 Garcia - 21 Contreras - 14-16 Garland - 13 Hernandez - 15
  17. remember how loaiza choked down the stretch in september of 03, esp. when he lost that final twins game in chicago that we lost that tied for the lead and we eventually collapsed. if we had won the game, we would have been 2 games up and prolly won the division. he didn't step up when the pressure was on and hernandez has pitched in some big games, like last year's game 4 of alcs and did good. helps to have someone who can pitch in the big games and get the job done. i'm out
  18. BY S720 12-22-04 Thanks for the new info, I hope we get Eckstein.
  19. good point. we need to get atleast one of these two guys
  20. if we don't get Perez we must get el Duque. no need to give up a exceptional lefty marte in the pen and lose another arm in the rotation in garland plus giving up the fire power and leadership of konerko. i say offer el Duque his contract and the rotation is complete and all we'll need is a catcher because i have absolutely no faith in Davis.
