"Actually the usage of the word "gay" as an insult isn't welcome here. We don't allow people to use any other stereotypical terms as insults, and this is no exception. Please refrain from it in the future." -sorry, i didnt know this is www.cubstalk.com, i thought the sox play on the south side.

gay is the best way to describe him, plus it ryhmes with say. and i dont wanna hear anyone get pissed about me using the word gay. i will do and say what i want. contrary to what i saw on a billboard, "gay" is the new "stupid".

high school was silly. college is a fun time, with lots less work. and more time for other more important things :sleep . i think you should concentrate more on why you think it is wrong and your reasons for it. give examples of other situations where similiar restrictions are in place. draw a line on what is too far and what is ok to restrict. talk about situations where music has caused people to do things (acdc scandal, eminem). those kind of things will take up some room. and plus, if you havent heard of this little trick before, it helps on papers- USE 12.5 font.

the only way we get zaun is is ozzie wants to go with 3 catchers
-
if we could trade everett, fine by me. we have gload. i think though that he will have a solid year, and that his success may be very closely assosiated with the sox's success.

it might not hurt to get an insurance pitcher in case any of our starters bite the big one, but hermanson can prolly be that guy if the price isnt right

Bo Jackson question for the long-time fans
raff replied to BlizzardOfOzzie's topic in Pale Hose Talk
bo is a beast, and like has been said, a down to earth guy -
mariotti is gay , thats all i can say. he disgraces chicago on around the horn, when im out of state all the people there hate him on the show, he makes chicago fans look bad. he is not the dumbest writer in town (smith) but he is very biased and unfair. carmen defalco should get his own show. ive met him and he is a great guy and he knows a lot about the sox (he hates the cubs). he and silvy is a pretty good show, only if carmen could lead instead of being the #2 man.

i dont think were far behind boston or the yankees. the twins are right there with us. i say 1) yanks (2) White sox (3) Twins (4) Boston

you must accept BOONER

bulls will pull off a 40-42 record, good enough for 6th place, and they upset someone in the first round.

i am not scared of billy beane. just because he co wrote a book doesnt mean anything. i read it. his ways are a little different, but he mainly got lucky and took some proven talent over potential. other teams know what those players can produce, and for him some were producing a little better than expected. the other teams went for potential stars. billy is nothing special, all the book was a publicity stunt for himself. if he leaves the As, 20 some other teams will be drooling over him just because of his name and how he keeps payroll down.

i believe that the sox need to start incorporating some of the kids fro, the minors onto the big league team. we have been overloading the bullpen with arms, and filling every vacancy with older FAs. how will MC, honel, diaz, and all the other young pitchers ever get a chance? injuries? i think we could afford to lose a bullpen arm or an older AAA pitcher (grilli, stewart) to upgrade at catcher or in the infield. then insert one or two of our young prospect pitchers in situations they can handle and see how they do up here. we cant sit them down there forever. calling up pitchers like grilli and stewart at the expanded rosters wont help us in the long run.

be warned, the leprechaun legion will return 1/4/2005, PROVI Vs. jca -
silly reds, will they ever have a top 25 rotation?
-
silly injuns, shoulda paid clement 1.5 mil more, coulda had an awesome rotation. millwood will be rocked, around a 5.3 era. might squeak 12 wins with there bats though.
-
yes sir, you have already shown that you are bright :fthecubs , and i respect the jets, pennington is my favorite QB, although i am a huge steelers fan (go Big Ben). no one likes the knicks, but we can deal. welcome aboard.
-
whoever we sign lets make it a 1 year deal please
-
you guys underestimate grilli-time. he will be a great #3 starter. for the knights of course.
-
we hate pants, the twins, the cubs, sammy, rick white, the cubs, royce clayton, danny wright, and the royals (they are just plain gay) :fthecubs
-
i would rather see em kelley green for us south side irish
-
what a silly contract for eckstein. he is not worth more than 2 mil a year. and also 3 years? they are a team who coulda went out and signed a better SS within a year or two, horrible.
-
lets not forget that frank does not rebound well after being out with an injury. it took him a year to get his stats back up last time.
-
el duque is a nice addition, but would it really of hurt to add miller too? they both have injury problems, and have had tired arms. we signed hermanson for more than it woulda been to sign miller. plus, im not thrilled about 2 years for el duque. i think mulder is a free agent to be, but i might be wrong. if he is a free agent in two years instead of one, then it is a good move, mulder can replace el duque and we can have the best 1,2,3 starting pitching staff in the league, not counting on garland of contreras to rise above #4s, and assuming that contreras will prolly not be long term anyway. not a bad day for KW, but lets wait to see, his grading scale for the offseason is in the balance (for me at least, assuming there is only one more move) signing eckstein = A- signing cora = B+ nothing = B p.s. lets be happy that we are at least MAKING MOVES TO IMPROVE, look at the CUBS!!!! NOTHING except resigning two guys. :fthecubs

i dont know much about cora, but eck would be a great addition. i dont think he bats #2 though. he would help the bottom of the lineup. pod rowand thomas/everett konerko dye uribe crede eckstein davis
