Yeah I hate to overreact but... Literally as I was about to type an overreaction we score

That was a Mel tucker like d to start out. They were completely confused on every play. And being confused by a Jeff fisher offense...is not good.

Oh also that was the worst song/credits I've seen in abound film in a while.

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 10, 2015 -> 02:23 PM) I actually enjoyed Spectre more than Skyfall, but that's not saying much cuz I'm in the minority in not really liking I also don't think Daniel Craig is a very good Bond. He doesn't have any personality. Of course Brosnan is the Bond I grew up on and I don't read the books. 2.5 or 3 hours is way too long for Bond movies. I'm numb to most of the cliches like building blows up that Bond is in but HE ESCAPED. There is a lot they could cut out and tighten it up. Saw it last night and agree with all of this. Sky fall was exhausting and the first hour could have been lopped off. I loved how Mendez had actual fun with directing bond and all it gets you this time.

QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Nov 14, 2015 -> 08:32 AM) So good defense and not striking out are, in my opinion, the current undervalued assets in MLB. If you look at the world champion Royals, 11 of their 13 hitters with 100 or more PAs strike out in less than one of every six at bats (Alex Gordon and Paulo Orlando being the exceptions), and as a team, they play very good defense. Using this line of thinking, I think if the White Sox wish to improve the most heading into next season, their top targets should be Jason Heyward, who is a great defender, had a K rate of 14.8%, and a wRC+ of 121 in 2015, and Daniel Murphy, who offers defensive versatility at two positions of desperate need for the White Sox, had the lowest K rate in the league in 2015 at 7.1%, and had a wRC+ of 110 despite having a very low BABIP. All that said, the White Sox rarely go the route I'm suggesting, and they're highly unlikely to hand out the contract it will take to get Heyward, so they'll likely go a different direction. Doesn't sound like that's the new value when your examples are two of the high priced free agents.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 12:14 PM) So if at the end of the year, the Bulls wanted to change direction and make a run at Durant, could they do it and if so, who would have to move? I know Noah expires but we obviously have other costs. Can it be done while keeping Rose/Butler on the roster or does Rose have to go? I am more asking for pure curiosity but I imagine if things don't work out this year, the Bulls will get aggressive to move Rose and this would be the right off-season to make a move. Or do the Bulls really not have a play until Rose's contract comes of the books (at which point I presume you hope Westbrook hasn't signed an extension and go that route). Just put this to rest dude. It'll be better for us all.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 12:05 PM) You're lying on okc. The Heat did what they did because LeBron could play the four (allowing the heat to keep an extra shooter on the floor at all times) and he passes better than all but about 4 point guards. The Warriors are different. Their entire roster fits where the game is at today. There's a reason Gasol/Noah are worthless playing together. One traditional big is fine. Two? No good. And yet Gasol/Bynum was what everyone was chasing 5 years ago. If everyone tries to replicate exactly what the warriors are doing they'll end up with the poor man's warriors.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 11:59 AM) The Heat had the talent to finish it twice... Yeah, technically the "players without positions" thing came out his last year which the heat did not finish it.
-
Oh my god, is nothing sacred anymore? Noise in the library? I never. I never!
-
This is literally the same stuff you were spouting about the heat 2 years ago (players without positions!!!). So if anything, this is what the heat/OKC started, the warriors just have the talent to finish it. Daryl morey also a big reason for this.

Matt Harvey-for-Mookie Betts would be a good fit for Mets

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 12, 2015 -> 04:30 PM) Pitch recognition is one of two key problems for him as a hitter, though. It's also his swing plane - he slices down on nearly everything, and when he does try to loft he tops it. Both need fixing. And none of that addresses his defense of course. I don't see him putting it together. I hope I'm wrong. But for me, if he can be optioned down to AAA, I do it. If he can't, I see if he can bring back something in trade. We'll always have that one week in august where he fixed it.

the NBA season doesn't make sense until Christmas day and onward. No idea why people always try to extrapolate in november. Last year the Kings were the hot upstarts!

Yes Curry and the Warriors are must-watch. That said I missed last nights game. Was not suprised to see 75 dropped on twolves in a half. Was surprised Garnett didn't bite someone during that.

"Guys, we are going to completely change the way we operate in order to catch up to the Warriors. Rather than draft others, we are going to draft Steph Curry. I'll let you sit and digest that."

"An email to all Missouri students Tuesday urging them to call campus police if they witness "hateful and/or hurtful speech" — even though such speech is not a crime — provided a bonus eye roll for skeptics." Yeah, sniping this absent of context that the police was at the time responding to death threats that were causing panic on campus is idiotic. It was irresponsible wording, but likely due to being written hastily in an evolving situation.

Ye, that is the dumbest thing I've ever read. It's like reading john Kass write about bicycling.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 12, 2015 -> 02:03 AM) Well, heard some horrifying facts about Butler today. One of our talk shows devoted the whole show to how Missouri got played for fools. This Butler guy is not only rich, but he's a renowned activist. He goes around trying to stir up s*** and he succeeded at Mizzou. The football team thought a student was dying on a hunger strike. It turned out to be activist Butler, 26 year old spoiled rich kid Butler. WOW. MU's president and chancellor quit over some punk stirring up trouble because that's what he does. All anybody had to do was google Butler's name and MU would still have a president/chancellor. WOW. Greg this is the dumbest thing I've ever read.

Funny thing about privilege in wealthy black families, is its kind of equal to being in the 30k wealth level of white americans (pg 97) http://www.patricksharkey.net/images/pdf/S...ey_AJS_2014.pdf
