    2014 Films Thread

I'm amazed at how well the Marvel universe has worked out. It seems impossible to make that work because it can so easily veer into campy. But I was sold after the first Thor. I couldn't believe how fun that was.
  2. I would rather watch Axelrod than Paulinos 20 pitch an inning performances.
  3. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 8, 2014 -> 12:03 PM) "Two of the things that make my job a lot easier are Herm Schneider and Don Cooper," Hahn said. "Not only because it allows us to expand the universe of pitchers that we're comfortable taking a chance on, but we've also got pitchers seeking us out, too. Guys who haven't unleashed their potential or who have injury issues contacting us and saying they want to be a part of what we're doing." ^ I feel like this is why signings like Paulino and Hanson happen. Lucky us.
  4. Probably looking at 50 pitches in two innings. Ridiculous.
  5. Paulino just let the pitcher destroy him.
  6. That segment may have been the first time I've learned something from Hawk in a decade or more.
  7. Paulino does not have his command tonight.
  8. Lineup a sneak peak at what the sox post 2014 will look like. Strange not seeing Dunn or PK in a lineup.
  9. I'd prefer a Weak arm, highly accurate QB over a golden armed, shotgun accuracy QB as a backup. Freeman sucks.
  10. That was great. But...so does his wrist go above his arm when his foot plants?
  11. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 08:44 PM) Ya I LOLd. Same. He just saw the wild throw run!
  12. Leury was safe by almost a full second too. Speedy songun.
  13. The Totals pitchers pace is so maddening YESSS LEURY!!!
  14. TBH I'd have a bunt there too. The problem was execution.
  15. Not a hit but I thought a good AB from Semien. It's like with more experience he gets more comfortable.
  16. QUOTE (BaconOnAStick @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 06:43 AM) As it always is with prospects. I might just want to be contrarian because the last board I was at everyone thought he was automatically going to come into the major leagues and kill it, but he just isn't that elite prospect some think he is. I'm just not a fan of high strike out rates. BBR has him at 134SO/443ABs in AAA Reno last year, 30% of his at bats, and 27% of his plate appearances. I'm don't want another high power high strikeout guy. Hopefully he gets better in the minors, and he can, but I don't see him being impressive if he comes up this year. He isn't a sure thing unless he can clear up his D. I think it's worth emphasizing his AAA was a down year. His AA season in a tougher league for hitters is the hope for him. He deserves time to adjust.
