I think I can believe Cags as an OF I decided. Whatever, I know avi was bad but his arm made it playable. When scouts say “he can’t play outfield”…we’ll have those scouts been a white Sox fan their whole lives? We are built different. We have a higher pain tolerance. Just hit us dingers. Carlos Lee fucking ruled. I think I’d take cags last among the players there but saying he “can’t” play somewhere? I thought this was America.

Another great job of scouting.

I have probably been the most vocal about how annoying the “broadcaster critics” on Sox talk are…but Schriffen has broken me. The guy is made of cheese. It’s like listening to an elementary school assembly MC announce every game.

Can i offer you the worst outfielder in baseball???

Well the first was a S&T, and the second was use of cap space. Utah and others are getting huge gains from just having cap space right now. THe bulls is tied up in the mid 3 + lonzo.

GMs skeptical teams meet price for Robert
bmags replied to southsider2k5's topic in Trade Winds 2024
It will take 6-7 years if the process was just "let getz fail, let new GM start over in 3 years" but there is no baseball process that works that takes that long. Baltimore had about as thorough a teardown as you can get, and did not accelerate it with big signings, and that took 4 years before they were in their window. There is no 6-7 year process for mlb for a competent org. -
I don't think it's worth ignoring his k rate, but once he moved out of AZ it became less of a focus because he is so young and kanny is really hard. Or has been a really hard transition for our hitters, especially high school ones. Kanny swallowed up Wes Kath, he never could prove himself there. So a streak this hot is something, babip or not. (he also hits the piss out of the ball so I'm not going to really care about high BABIPs with him)

There just wasn’t a lot of reason to expect a lot back in an S&T for DeRozan because of the salary we could take back. But that’s also because they refuse to go over luxury tax (even if they could get under easily before needed). If they somehow win the lottery next year, this could work out nice. But they are once again entering a rebuild with few assets and not even much salary cap space to use (a la Utah). I remember a few hours where we heard rumors the bulls may pry Presti from OKC. Instead we got the lieutenant who was apparently a wallflower in Denver. Such a shame.

Love the pitcher reaction lol

Benintendi has failed so miserably they are going to make him an Assistant GM soon

Crochet would cost Gunnar Henderson and Rutschman as a starting point. Crochet is greatest player of all time and all Baltimore players are garbage. Also blue crabs are ass. Baltimore sucks.

Small potatoes but I’m pleased how effective Zach Franklin has been

I was pleased that ump was not giving the pitcher strikes below George’s knees

The thing cease did provide and he’s well on his way again is consistent innings. Amazing given the number of pitches he throws each inning but he has figured out a way to stay healthy. He’ll probably be near 175+ IP this year, his 4th straight above 150. He did an amazing job on his health. So he’s often a #3 pitcher but has shown his upside as a #1. Still extremely valuable when paired with his durability. As a GM I’d probably still pay more for Garrett’s upside.

Developing on your own is actually being a Getz boy. after the first post I thought, “does he actually suck at third or did he just come up in the white Sox system”?
-
he's freakin incredible.

Maybe it was a good thing. Perhaps he was only seeing velocity with poor command in AA, and at AAA he could truly work on this issue. He'll need to.

Man I hope he pans out it’s too much fun to have monster humans
