    great episode. Really explains why they needed the boat so much. but it seems strange the other camp has never seen that island before.
  10. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 25, 2006 -> 06:15 PM) People almost never lose their property due to the Endangered Species Act. Its usually just a matter of certain activities (building of certain types, mining or logging, fishing or hunting) being restricted. And the takings clause of the 5th Amendment already allows for compensation due to degradation of value of the property, which is usually handled in a hearing by the agency involved (USFS, BLM, etc.). i only stated that because its the only objection i've ever heard to that. I've never actually seen someone opposed to promoting a diverse bioculture. QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 25, 2006 -> 08:08 PM) I don't buy the argument that they've been historically discrimanted against...again, lots of people have... Well i could buy into the fact that dinosaurs didn't exist, but the evidence is there
  11. Opposes Endangered Species Act? How about they just reform it so that if they are taking a homeowners acreage, they have to pay him double what he'd normally get. But to oppose that bill is a horrible idea.

  14. is arod really a downgrade defensively at short?
  15. of course we should be interested in Arod
  16. i'm not sure what that changes.
  17. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Oct 24, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) i agree. there are other artists that accomplish the same thing, but produce better songs... dennison witmer would be my first choice. I agree, i listened to O because everyone said it was his best, but i can only handle so many new folk or whatevery you wanna call it, and i'd rather just listen to Elliot Smith, Jose gonzales and mountain goats.
  18. agh, what a difference a year makes... last year: "we have all our starters locked up for like, ever! ANd all we have to worry about is crede" this year: "PANIC!!!!"
  19. I want to say elliot smith. But, i mean i don't think he had anymore epic albums ahead of him like the buckley's or curtis did. and...SRV probably had some kick ass stuff ahead of him.
  20. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Oct 23, 2006 -> 05:02 PM) as musicians give me a break. U2 hasn't put out an album that means anything since achtung, baby.
  21. QUOTE(shipps @ Oct 23, 2006 -> 05:10 AM) Really this shouldnt be in green.Im not big into hip-hop anymore but he was probably the best ever.He was one of the very few rappers I would consider really talented. i don't know the last album he made wasn't very good. Ready to Die was awesome though. I think he'd exhausted his creativity personally, and if he continued to use puffy to produce it would have gotten even worse.
  22. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Oct 22, 2006 -> 06:48 PM) If they trade Dye, I will dye. i'm posting so hard.
  23. Tim Buckley was far more prolific as well, releasing several albums before his death at 27, whilst jeff successfully finished only grace, and died while making his second album. Grace was amazing, though.
  24. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Oct 22, 2006 -> 10:57 PM) The average US company doesn't ask the Feds to use tax money to feed the poor, THEN find ways to lower their taxes. If Bono wants to feed all the starving Ugandians, he should use his own tax savings to pay for it and quit trying to use MY tax money to do it (or Englands,in this case). When corporations standup for a cause, they front their own money for it, and then ask others for donations. Not the government for tax money. Um, companies don't ask the gov't for policies to help their agendas and then find ways to get around their responsibilities such as taxpaying?
