I’m not sure it’s that surprising given he was called up the same year. That said, that lack of development for crucial years for some players is brutal. Part of why I think the Sox strategy of giving that tax incentive to Cuban players who already missed a year in their emigration was a terrible idea.

They are 43-22 despite their injuries already. They won the division last year. I think they understand value better than us tbh.

Both, esp with not having a great showing last summer on the circuit. Would prefer to be getting a guy like that 11-25 range. It's an exciting package it's just there is a reduction of risk I'd hope to get top 5. But all these guys have their warts. but that Mississippi prep stuff hasn't quite found its outlier. Crazy to me given the weather and success of colleges nearby.

so I uh, decided I don't think I can do a mississippi prep player top 5.

MLB Players' Poll: White Sox second worst org after A's
bmags replied to Quin's topic in Pale Hose Talk
eh i've never loved that case. He's a middle reliever. We made Greg Santos great. I think it's for the most part true that players are wrong that "players thrive elsewhere", bigger issue is they crater here, but a lot of that is bad scouting mixed with bad roster management and salary limitations. -
What were your favorite memories of Max Stassi this year?

They also acquired a bunch of phenomenal stuff and some times that’s hard to time with competitive windows. I’d Cease figures it out one year earlier who knows.

Guy has raised his BA by like 50 points in a week

It is crazy, and on the flip side, check out how much of the top ten pitchers are white Sox adjacent.

Tbh I think it’s pretty hard to be a 100 loss team when trying to be a 90 win team -

Some teams build good AA rosters without needing to trade a top 15 pitcher in baseball. -

That's 3 full seasons man, that's a ton. In 2020, we would have been laughing at you if you said in 3 years we'd be a 100 loss team. -

What I find annoying about this is it was a very good market to trade robert in last offseason compared to trying to trade Cease. There was plenty of pitching being made available, but long term hitting was scarce and Soto a side the FA hitting wasn't impressive. Was the opposite for pitching. But even I balked given how much control we had. To now switch that up just a few months in is more poor decision making. Gonna be crazy watching Luis Robert in wrigley. -
I was gonna say I was headed here to make it. Grant Taylor day.

Seems like everyone had a fun summer evening. Veras had 2 homers and is near .300 again. Quero had another 2 hits, back up to .250. rest of the lineups struggled, but Colson avoided Ks again. Best pitching: Tanner MacDougal, Luis Reyes, Toukki, Farhado(?) Burke was solid in game 2. Iriarte struggled, Schweitzer was fine.

BA updated Top 100, Noah Schultz checks in at #9

They also have been much more conservative ranking pitchers just due to the attrition and volatility compared to position players. this definitely got my attention. -
I'm imagining this is Jr's reaction if he was reading this instead of cigar magazine: "wasn't this the guy that wanted me to fire La Russa? Now he's not good enough either? Make up your mind"

that's not what the article was about.
